Or something along those lines. I have a mockup image if some finished graphics and music, but I’d like to get some feedback from the VB Community.

So i’ve been looking into an actual virtual boy port, considering new developments in VB Homebrews this past year. Would anyone be up for that? I dunno if i would be able to do it completely by myself, so i might look for a team in the future to help with an official port.

That would be awesome! I have no skills that would be of use to you, but out of curiosity what kind of port would you be looking to make?

Hi all, long time no see. We’ve been very hard at work the last year and a half, with progress moving towards the tools and tech needed for both a PC and VB release.

HOWEVER! We need your help! If you like what you see here, please consider supporting us on Patreon! We need all the funding we can get at the moment if we have any hope of actually completing this project. All your support really counts!

The game is still in development. I am sorry for not updating everyone sooner.

I officially relaunched the patreon today too. If you enjoy the game, please consider pledging, even if it’s just a dollar.

If anyone here could get the word out to those who haven’t seen, it would be appreciated.

Glad to see this is still being developed!

WOW!!!!
This is REALLY cool!

wow, i thought this was dead. i will definitely be buying a copy! keep up the great work 😀

I forgot about this one too, thanks for letting us know it isn’t dead. If you ever do get this finished I’d like to grab a copy to play on my system. The new stuff slowly creeping out over the last few years from some competent designers (like hyper fighting for example) are so few and far between it’s like real VB development is happening again. 😀

Thank you. Sadly, unless I get a publisher…physical copies will be sold in limited quantities. I am aiming for 100-150 to start, and even then I am unsure if I could maintain production.

Well maybe mellott could help out somehow? He’s the one that seemingly has designed all these interesting toys the VB had intended for it like the link cable, and also new modern VB PCB boards for the various prototype copies, hyper fighting, and the others around. Maybe you could get a deal on some boards and what else is needed to do such a thing.

I don’t have deep pockets, but even I’ve found creative or accidentally creative ways to get some pretty big items for the VB from the blockbuser case to jack bros and even hyper fighting too. If the price isn’t prohibitive and the game looks like it would be fun to me I’d be on board.

In another decade and place I used to both be in the game industry at first with technical standards testing and development ideas then later media mainly for reviews. A lot has come across my hands over the years then and since so I kind of get a decent feel for what is and isn’t good at least in general. 🙂

Incredible project. How do you plan to organize the selling ?

Just want to chime in that this looks astoundingly polished! I’m more than game for a CIB copy if possible when the time comes.

I would really like to hear a response from the developer on this. I supported the project for several months, but then backed out once I feared that it had been completely abandoned, as there were no updates for many months during my support period.

I would also like to hear the plan goign foward. I am still backing although it seems they are moving to kickstarter. I am not interested in playing on the PC and really want it on the VB but it looks like they are only planning to do that if they meet their kickstarter stretch goal =(.

Do you have a link to their kickstarter site?

i stopped patreon backing when he admitted, that he hadnt done anything in few months because personal issues
and i didnt even know he had twitter and was being so active in there.

i might still back this project in Kickstarter if i get playable Vb demo straight away and final product is also playable on Virtual boy 🙂

I stopped backing when I found out VB support was only a stretch goal and PC was the main intended platform.

Yes thats a bit bad that its only a stretch goal, in i also think that $25.000 is hard to fit within a Month on Kickstarter but we will see. if it seems that they can fit this goal for a VB Port i will defenetly jump in and also found as much as i can pay to that time. But if they didnt fit that goal and there will be no VB Port im out because i didnt have huge interest to play it on PC or any other Console then VB. But i hope that they later start a new Crowdfounding Campain only for the VB Port with a goal that our Comunity can reach and then im in 🙂 or a patreon only for the Work on the Port like Team VUE do it for theyre Game Formula V.
The Game looks realy nice and fun, i think it would be a great Title for the VB.

This most recent update that the VB version is only a stretch goal has really rubbed me the wrong way. I supported this project for a while on Patreon because we were promised a VB game. I’m sorry, I’m sure the game will be great but it’s not getting another dime from me.

That was the original plan as well (VB as a stretch goal). I didn’t learn that until after I had been donating and it came up in a conversation with the developer.
