Later during the reign of the best portable gameboy, Gumpei Yokoi and his team developed the Virtual Boy, which has been considered the greatest failure of Nintendo. This 32-bit console allowed to play titles through two separate screens, giving a very good 3D effect for the period. Unfortunately it was quickly released to compensate for the delay of the N64, which added to working with batteries too (although he had power adapter), it was uncomfortable to play for their design, had little support from licensees, what caused it to be monumental nonsense. In addition, the system came to market very expensive, and lack of really efficient promotion (it was difficult to sell without displaying a 3D system as such), few people bought it.
