How to Make the 3D Scope

1. 3Dスコープ用台紙を切り離す
1. Detach the Cardboard for the 3D Scope

この付録の4ページと5ページの間にはり付けてある「工作キッ
ト」と印刷してある厚紙をX印のついた赤い点線に治って、付録か
ら切り離してください。厚紙は2枚重なっているので、ていねいに。
Please cut the thick paper that is printed as the “craft kit,” which is attached between page 4 and page 5 of this supplement, along the red dotted line having the scissors symbol, and separate it from this supplement.

台紙を切り離すときは赤い点線に沿って。スコー
プ本体を切らなければやや内側を切ってもよい。
When detaching the cardboard along the red dotted line, you may cut slightly to the inside, as long as you don’t cut the body of the scope.

2. 赤い太い線に沿って型紙を切り抜く
2. Cut Out the Pattern Along the Thick Red Line

台紙を切り離したら、つぎは印刷してある赤い太線にそって、型
紙を切り抜いてください。このとき2枚重なっている部分で1枚め
と2枚めの切り方がちがうところがありますので注意してください。
After cutting off the cardboard, next you must cut out the pattern along the printed thick red line. At this time, please note that there are certain places where the first sheet and the second sheet are to be cut to make two parts that are to overlap.

2枚重ねて切っていい部分 (レンズの付く部分)
と、2枚別々に切る部分に注意してね。
Pay attention to the part where you can cut the two sheets as they overlap (the part with the lenses) and to the parts where you must cut the two sheets separately.

3. レンズの部分の紙をはがす
3. Peel Off the Paper Parts of the Lenses

型紙を切り抜いたら、本体ののぞき穴の丸い部分を切りこみに沿
ってはがしてください。なかにレンズが入っているのでカッターな
どを使うときは、レンズを傷つけないように注意してください。
After cutting out the pattern from the paper, peel off the round parts of the peep holes of the main body along the slits. Since the lenses are contained here, please be careful not to damage the lenses when using a cutter or the like.

切りこみに沿ってていねいにはがそう。なかのレ
ンズを傷つけないように気をつけてね。
Peel carefully along the slits, being careful not to damage the inside lenses.

4. 本体部分を折り曲げる
4. Fold the Parts of the Main Body

本体の型紙 (大きい方) の模様の変わる部分と黒いまっすぐの細
い実線を山折りにします。このとき、定規やしたじきなど、まっす
ぐのものをあてるときれいに折ることができます。
Make a mountain fold along each thin, straight, black solid line that can be found at a part of the pattern for the main body (the larger one) where the design changes. Here, you can fold cleanly by using something with a straight edge, such as a ruler or desk pad.

のりづけしてしまう前に、組み立てやすいように
1度、箱の形に折り曲げておこう。
Before you glue it, fold the whole thing into the shape of a box to make it easier to assemble soon.

5. のりづけして……完成!!
Now Glue It… and It’s Finished!

まず最初に本体用の型紙をのりづけしよう。のりがよく乾いてか
ら、底になる部分にL字型の型紙をはり付けましょう。このとき、
L字型の型紙は灰色の面が上になるように組み立てましょう。
First, apply glue to the white strips on the bottom of the pattern for the main body. Then, stick the L-shaped pattern to this bottom portion and allow the glue to dry well, being sure to attach the L-shaped pattern so that the gray side is facing upward.

のりをつけて、さらにセロテープなどを使ってと
めておくとじょうぶに作ることがきます。
If you also use cellophane tape, etc. with the glue, you can make it more durable.
