Fuck, and I getting it next week
Wll it must be easier to modify then some regular screw

A good idea for a homebrew game
Simple (compared to making an rpg atleast) and would look cool on the vb

Du skrev

“Here’s the link again:
http://www.tradera.com/Gamebit-4-5mm- … -auktion_301509_127860359

This will fit with no modification.”

Länken funkar ej mer då jag köpte den sista han hade

Well I already bought the tradera link because you said it would work wirh no modiifing
Gets the screw next week 🙂

Jo men kul hur han försöker sälja massa saker sen läser man och inser att det fattar bitar på alla telefoner och han har inte ens testat resten haha

I agree, remove the white part and its ok for me 🙂

Just read my contest entre in the pvp section in the forums

Already seen it like 1-2 days ago

Also I will write text based reviews for many vb games on the official review page of this site 🙂

If I am not mistaken only things we do after the competition was started is accepted or else I would have had my youtube compilation VB games/homebrews/demos video and the pawn stars vb video 🙂

I am ashamed I have played the vb since 2007 and only knew about the cheats on the baseball game and since 2010 also of blox 2 🙁

well I was going to buy it but dont want to modify it so it should open the 2 screws far in thw whole

My mothers husband has tried many times to open the screws but everytime he needed a new tool, so hard to modify so I just want something that works for once without needing so much finf modifing to it

Ok well back in the day (2007) I didnt have ebay or tradera (swedish ebay site) so I went to a swedish site called helgon.net and asked on the forums if someone could buy the vb for me threw tradera and that person would get 50:- (SKR) and someone did

After that I bought 8 games from another Swedish site http://www.kellen.se/virtualboy_index.php

Less then 8 month after I bought the 8 games the flashboy was released and its true I would never have bought the vb games if the flashboy was released but now that I did its nice to have the box art and booklets even if most are in japanese

And in august 2008 I got the flashboy from Krisse 🙂

I also got some old USA power magazine issue with about 8 pages about the VB but dont remember where I got it from

Never seen a VB in any store in Europe, thought I did get my first sega dreamcast from a retro store in Malmö, Sweden

Like I said the point is to finish games not to make them 100% the way the person who started the game wanted it but that doesnt mean if a game gets handed around some people will only do 0.5% instead of 5%+ of the game

Anyways atleast I am happy there are many fun homebrew games/demos and that the 23rd vb game got released 🙂

I am hoping to fix my vb tomorrow after a year being broken so then when I get to play on hardware and not emulators I might once again love the vb like I did in the past
After all many homebrew demos like vb racing, castle of doom, gosub3D… are still big enough to give me 20+ min gameplay/demo and thats still good 🙂

That will make the game end up NOT getting finished, unless it was for commercial purposes. Managing a team and a project properly is still more difficult than going off and making a game on your own.

Just start a game then when you did maybe at most 20% of the game you ask someone else to make another 5% of the game and he then asks someone else and so on
Just doesnt seem so hard in my eyes but then what do I know^^

haha im the satan who will kill all the game makers who dont finish the games they started, with or without help from others 🙂

Well I never said making games was easy just said if like 20 people work on 1 game it might get finished, thats all
Why no one worked on the Mario game after he released the code maybe was because of bad planning or people didnt car his idea, i dont know
Still, the demos we did get are not at all bad
some demos like vb racing feel almost complete in my opinion so thats good

I was not complaining just wondering why so many demos are made instead of everyone working on 1 game?
Then people can practice to try different game making areas for each new small game and they learn quicker 🙂

Well I dont see the problem really
Just pass the game codes around and each person does his own area and then have some areas for people who cant do source code at all (make story/plot for the intro of the game, draw some nice image to go with the rom file, make a nice commercial for the game, draw sprites…)

At the end they see what has become of the game and what needs to be changed
Also just because many people work on some game it doesnt mean it has so be some big rpg game, any small game like tic-tac-toe, vue snake… is find so long people actually work in the area of the games

well if you cant finish a game jus give the game code to someone that will

meh, I fianally contributed with the pawn start virtual boy video after being memember here sinc 2007 and now you ask for yet another one -_-

you want to be staff member hehe
its alot of work and not as fun as reading new vb posts 🙂

A general thought on these homebrews:
Aren’t we tired of the warning screens now, everyone should know by now anyway. How about just skipping that or instead write something like “Game on!”. 😉

haha reminds me ironicly of the box of the flashboy “eat instruction booklet”

I’m also starting to wonder if my FlashBoy Plus is broken, no games seem to have any sound at all.

I dont own flashboy plus (only flashboy) and what I know its only blox 2 that has sound of all the homebrew games

Also, can people just stop making demo after demo and finish the games they started
I would have preferd to see more finished 16 bit games then to see demos of 32 bit homebrew games
