The Cap (Black) has always intrigued me. I have a friend that has the Grey Virtual Boy Hat from his youth, though he isn’t really wanting to sell it at all even though I keep bugging him about it.
Looks like only time will tell. If only we could track down some of the winners who won the contest. Then we’ll know more about the hat and if it’s out there somewhere.
So many mysterious we still have to uncover, maybe the one listed on the picture is most likely is a prototype. Now that I’m thinking about it, I wonder out of all the Virtual Boy hat’s; which are the rarest due to quantity.

Yeah, I need to do that! Only if I had the skills to do it myself though. I really want to learn how to do it but I’m not sure if I’ll do it correctly as it’s suppose to be. I think I have the materials to do it too.
I would have to agree with what everyone is saying so far. It may be the work of your ribbon cables in your Virtual Boy. They tend to create many lines across the screen due to them having a certain part on the ribbon cable that’s not having a perfect connection because of the age of the material that was used to make the signal strong. Lucky there are many methods too fixing the ribbon cables to make it run correct again and we have some people here that can fix ribbions cables to high performance with a permeant fix. As I said though, they’re are many methods to fixing them. Some are non-permeant though. Your Ribbon cables don’t seem to be bad (If that is the case) they are just starting to get there or it could possible be something else. I think it’s the ribbons though :/ It’s a common problem that Virtual Boy’s get, A LOT get it sadly, even mine have it.
