I stil haven’t gotten my cart yet. 🙁 I hate international shiping. 🙁

.. Wait a tic.. it sold for $306? I am posting this fro a hospitak bed so i cant check ebay. I had bid $400 before i went into the hostpital, but that was 4 days ago – no way I could snipe the bid.

I wonder what hapened

an eerie silence warshes over the Planet VB Forums

Everybody sees what was posted to eBay last night for $99.00 starting bid

but nobody wants to mention it in the hope that nobody else did

they are just going to stay reeeeeeeeeeeal quiet and not say anything about the full size VB Floor Model Display

maybe nobody will notice

The problem I found with traditional printers is that the full box doesn’t fit on a standard A4 paper. I think it was missing around 3cm (approx. 1-inch), or at least that’s what I remember when I made it, but it was long time ago. Anyway, your design is just great, good work!

Here in the USA we have a paper size called “Legal” which is about 35.5cm x 21.6cm, so it fits perfectly with blank space around it. 😉

Your box design was the inspiration for mine – if I didn’t have your creative design as a starting point, my design would never have come to be.

Hi, I can have virtualboyfreak’s box and manual design printed professionally.

Virtualboyfreak’s box design is not suitable for printing. The box construction is incorrect and the graphics are not of a high enough resolution.

I actually own a commercial printing company, which produces boxes *just like this* all the time, so I made my own version of the design and graphics.

It’s freely downloadable here :

and for instructions on putting the box together :

Feel free to use my design if you decide to have it made on a grander scale, but you should wait on the manual. I’m re-doing it, as well.

I was actually thinking about making a die so that I could design and die cut many different VB boxes for other homebrew games.

Wanna make a GREAT looking Bound High Box at home?

Use this handy dandy box design that I made!

This will print on a standard LEGAL (8.5″x14″) size piece of paper. It looks best printed on a COLOR LASER printer using a heavy card stock – I recommend 80# to 100# COVER stock. If you don’t have a color laser you can take this file to your local FedEx/Kinko’s and make sure to tell them DO NOT SCALE TO FIT!!!

I just printed one out a minute ago, cut it, glued it, and folded it. It took me about 20 minutes, and the box looks absolutely professional.

To download the PRINT file go here :

For the INSTRUCTIONS to put the box together go here :

When I get to my camera I will post photos of what my box looks like completed.

I’ll also be doing a complete layout of the manual, but this will take longer.

ENJOY!

I’m almost finished laying out the box artwork. I’ll post high resolution images, along with a cut path so you can see where you need to cut/fold/glue to make a box that is almost indistinguishable from what a real VB box looks like.

Could you make some boxes and manuals for the Bound High carts ?

I could, easily, if someone provided me with a .pdf of the manual, as well as high res graphics for the box art.

Is the link on post #36 in this thread of any use ?

My network connection isn´t the best so i have not being able to download it myself and have a good look at it yet.

Hmmmmm…. lemme see what a prototype would look like…

I want the Pre-Prod. Prototype, and the VUE Debugger. How much each?

Holy Snap sign me up! I’ve got plenty of Mario Tennis carts sitting around collecting dust – I’d love to snag a Bound High.

Don’t forget, too – I own a full service print company, capable of die cut decals and stickers, as well as cad cut vinyl graphics – if I can be of service. I can make custom boxes, manuals, etc., as well.

Sending e-mail!

The current high bidder has like 36k+ feedback, one of those international bidding agents is my guess.

$250 is overkill, but if your willing to make a big bid like that I’d set your alarm and snipe this one.

I am the high bidder – my username is uber-hot.

Here’s the sort of stuff I sell on eBay :

http://shop.ebay.com/uber-hot/m.html

Best of luck, hope you win it! 🙂

Edit:
US $71.32? *Tsk Tsk* 😡

Awwright, tough guy. How about US $250.00?

Yeah, that’s definitely a rad shirt. I’m watching the auction in hopes that the price stays low, I just can’t afford $150 every time a cool VB shirt, hat or desk-clock pops up anymore. 😕

I’ve got that auction on LOCK. 🙂 I’ve put down a bid that should definitely win this one. (I’m currently the only bidder.)

I’m tired of getting sniped at the last minute, when I’m at work, so if someone outbids me this time they’ll certainly have to pay big for it. 😀 😀 😕

Yeah, that Flashboy is actually mine. I’m selling off my whole VB collection, except for a few items that I will keep for my personal use. Anyone who is interested, can see my whole collection here: http://shop.ebay.com/thegamesnotoveryet/m.html
and bid if you like. It’s not the biggest or most complete collection, but I think it is very nice, and worth a look.

I (last night) put in some good high bids on all the rare VB related stuff that you have listed – I ain’t lettin’ this stuff go for cheap!

The only thing I’m not after right now is the Flashboy.

You can get one sealed and one open, together in the same auction, for $15.00 on eBay.

I bought mine sealed for $5.00 in eBay.

It’s not a hard game to find in that condition.

Dang – I got outbid with a *quickness.*

Sooooooo…. How many game shells would I need to trade in to get a Flashboy Plus from the next batch?

Re: I could perhaps do you a deal for a FlashBoy+ if you want ?

That’d rock. I figure I sit around designing, printing, and producing labels and boxes all day anyway, so why not? 🙂

Who is making the boxes for these things? I can, if you need a source. I have full color printing as well as die cutting, folding, and gluing on site at my shop. I can also make the cart labels in laminated vinyl, cad cut on site.

I also have about 6 Mario Tennis carts I can donate.

And just for S&G value, here’s some footage I shot of a couple of our smaller die cutters in action on some calendar tabs.

I’m located in Johnson City, Tennessee

I’m a real collector, and I had never thought of using the above mentioned clear cases to protect my collection. It just hadn’t occured to me, and without this auction thread I probably would still be looking for a good solution to a vexing problem.

Posting ebay auctions is kinda’ lame, IMO. I guess it’s normal on these boards, but many other forums completely agree & don’t allow it for obvious reasons.

If the real collectors wanted to share every fantastic auction, why no Yahoo Auction links all the time? Yeah.
