This is not surprising Nintendo never brings back days of past failures. All the old Nintendo games that come with their new consoles are successfully games (Game & Watch, NES, SNES, Game Boy/Color/Advence, N64 and GameCube), you will never find games from the Virtual Boy, Satellaview, Nintendo 64DD, etc.

Dreamcast was a commercial failure (sort of), but had lots of great games. It makes sense that people still talks about it and that there’s money to be made by Sega. 64DD though ? What should Nintendo say about it, Doshin the giant has been ported to the gamecube and still failed. No one cares about Satellaview outside of Japan, and for good reasons.

It has nothing to do with “japan perfectionism” or “Nintendo mentality”. There is little to say, noboby was interested at the time, even less today, so they don’t talk about it. You can spot the Virtual boy in several 3DS games, they’re not ashamed or anything about it.

What about the Z-axys tape DogP ? Not tried yet ? I will get some in a few days/weeks, from a friend in Canada since i definitely can’t find it here at a decent price…

It’s more than a hint 🙂 And it’s great !

I’ll give it a try, thanks DogP :] What could go wrong if it makes shortcuts everywhere after all ?

Nice !

Do you think you can fit the entire game in a 2Mo rom ?

A rogue-like dungeon crawler with 3D environments would be a lot of fun. Imagine all the elements and characters used an angled camera, so its like top-down but with depth.

This would be great :] Or a space opera shooter / simulator, like Xwing (1993).

Impressive is an understatement. It’s incredible !

Is there a way to unlock Shen long ?! 😀

To be fair, this 1995 Virtual Boy release was doomed from the start simply by virtue of being released on the Virtual Boy.

This guy’s opinion might be a little bit biased to begin with…

Thank you for your reply! I suppose I could try the Japanese tap, and if it does not fit my SNES power adapter I could just try to find a Japanese power adapter.

Be careful with your australian power adapter, even if it fits in a japanese tap. French SNES power adapters output AC current, the VB needs DC current. I had to buy an US tap, an US SNES power adapter and a stepdown converter for my US VB.

Impressive Thunderstruck :] Providing games and boxes for said games, you are a one-man game company 🙂

(For some reasons, having 40Mo of pictures on one page makes my browser crash.)

I see nothing about Dragon Hopper and Zero racers, not even a TBD release date. Yet, both games are from Nintendo themselves, not an obscure indy studio. Weird.

512 Ko :

Space Squash
V-Tetris
Mario’s Tennis
Panic Bomber
Space Invaders: Virtual Collection

1024 Ko :

3D Tetris
Galactic Pinball
Insmouse no Yakata
Jack Bros
Mario Clash
Red Alarm
SD Gundam: Dimension War
Teleroboxer
Vertical Force
Virtual Bowling
Virtual Fishing
Virtual Lab
Virtual League Baseball

2048 Ko :

Golf
Nester’s Funky Bowling
Virtual Boy Wario Land
Waterworld

Most of the 1024 Ko roms are 200~500 Ko when compressed. Except for virtual lab who’s only 40~50 ko. Weird.

Because England needs to mess with us french since middle age, in every possible ways ! that’s why ! 😀
Sending us Flashboy carts and awesome music is just part of a bigger plan to invade us for good 😯

I did because that’s how we use exclamation mark in french. I even had a doubt when reading your post and i went to check on official (but french) sources.

But I see that’s not how it works in english, I didn’t know. My bad ! 😛

From Wiki :

French

In French, next to marking exclamations or indicating astonishment, the exclamation mark is also commonly used to mark orders or requests: Viens ici ! (English: “Come here!”). A space (« espace fine ») is used between the last word and the exclamation mark.

(I can’t edit my previous posts and i feel bad spamming the topic)

Thanks RunnerPack ! :]

Alright ! Thanks again Benjamin :] Tell me if you want me to change anything.

Thanks Benjamin ! I admit i didn’t search before asking 😛

But my problem is precisely that i’m not an english speaker, so i will not do any better than what you’ve purposely done.

I did a cover for Space Squash, but i have no idea what to write on the back. I can’t translate the original back cover (here), and I… well, you don’t want some awkward, poorly worded sentences on your cover 😛

So, “Virtual Lab” was called “Chitty Chitty Lab” at one point ? This adds some background to the game, for sure.

I see the devs of Space Squash worked on 3 more games. I would love to see anything about them.

Thanks for the trad Benjamin ! :]
