Looks like an original part ! Good job :]

I’ve made a quick fix wich involved an eraser, a ceramic knife and some steri-strips. No more glitchy lines or anything for now ! (~1 day, probably won’t last a week)

Has anyone tried a kind of “clamp” fix ?

My right display has glitchy line and mirroring, but when I press gently the ribbon cable against the display pcb (while the VB is powered on, disasembled), the problems disappear completely.

I’m sure some of you have already thought about it, but i did not find any examples. I want to go Mac Gyver on my VB, so any help is welcome :]

This should be mentioned in the VB cameos section along with the Virtual Boy being in Animal Crossing New Leaf!

I am glad to see Nintendo still makes occasional mentions of the VB.

Just wanted to share with those who don’t play the game :] (Go play it ! it’s awesome)

The ingame screenshot app is not so good, but you can see the VB model is pretty detailed.

I didn’t release the program, but if you want, I can continue working on it so that it hopefully becomes useful.

Of course i want :] One homebrew to bring them all, and in the Flashboy bind them. That would be a precious contribution !

Too bad… Thanks anyway :]

Now that’s some random loot.

I did not want to make a thread for just a (probably) stupid question, so I will ask here :

Is there a way to create a multiboot-rom / homebrew compilation / to merge several little roms into one 2048ko rom ?
I use my FB+ mainly for homebrew, that would be very handy 🙂

I have received my FB+ from Minestorm today ! :]

I wanted one for years, Can’t believe i’ve finally got one !

Many thanks to all of you for everything you have done for the VB :]

A dungeon-crawler / rogue-like / hack n slash game could be nice too :] (and less work than a Zelda game).

Something like Cladun, a recent dungeon crawler game for psp with a retro look (here). Really fun to play and a LOT of replay value :]

Delete the “mednafen-09x.cfg” file from your Mednafen directory and use this one :]

EDSF : up down left right
G : Map appear/disappear
H : Leave the vehicule

That’s all i know actually, sorry 😀

Finished it today for the first time with all the treasures ! :] it took me 4h25. Too bad there’s 6 different endings but only 3 save slots. Great game anymay !

Juste Drag and drop the “hunter.vb” file on the “mednafen.exe” file in your explorer Akumie :]

I think it’s time for me to buy a Flashboy + :] Impressive work DanB ! I want to try that on the real hardware asap

Well, I don’t know about never touching the edges of the display… Things have to come from somewhere. Unless you could find a really smooth way to make things fade in, there would still be a hard border that things would have to cross as they come onto the screen.

I know it won’t be easy but we don’t lack imagination here, right ? 😉

Maybe just an oldschool game like Donkey kong/Pengo/boulder dash in a non-square shaped area where things appear and desappear “magicaly”, or just appear and the objective is to destroy/make disapear everything and the next level would come from the background. Something like “flOw” on PS3 and Psp could be a good idea (with some adjustments).

Thank you for your answer Fwirt :]

Ok, so i need a 220V -> 110V stepdown converter or a Japanese tap + a french 9V DC adapter if i understand it all ?

I was glad the Vb comes with an adapter set but i won’t need it… 😐 I should have come here first and ask, my bad 😛

Hi everyone :]

I just ordered a US Virtual boy on ebay with a US adapter set (Adapter+tap), could i use one of these adapters with the Us tap ? (french snes adapter and french Nes adapter respectively).

Thanks you ! :]
