I’m thinking of buying one, but the 3D isn’t the reason at all. The thing apparently comes with a whole bunch of stuff preloaded and the line-up of coming games seems pretty good, too.

I agree! The DreamCast was also excellent, can’t wait ’till I get my copy of Shenmue.
PS sorry for my bad english i`m from germany
It’s alright, just use some more periods (.) and commas (,) to separate your sentences a bit better. 😉
The interesting thing here is, the audience (who is mostly ignorant about the VB; no offense intended) can interpret it as “haha, the VB sucks”, but no such opinion is actually ever portrayed in the video itself. Heck, it may even spark a bunch of peoples’ interests, or at least get more people familiar with the thing if they have never heard of it.
PS you can see an exclusive look at on Spike (US TV) tomorrow or sunday
How much longer after that will it be on ScrewAttack or other sites? I can’t exactly watch Spike from where I am.
Edit: just noticed how reminiscent the blue face effect is of Tron…
Cool fact about that suit, the lady who made it made suits for Daft Punk. I didn’t have to pay for anything. Everyone felt bad for me and helped me get up or never even noticed.
It’s funny how such an obsolete language can still be relevant if all you want to do is make a simple game. It shows that you really don’t need much if the game is just that – simple.
Good luck with the port, hoping to play it on my real DOS machine some day. 😛
I’m a bit late, but on the plus side you have an actual (probably rare) bootleg version of the cartridge. There’s a niche interest in pirate carts and consoles, so if you hold onto it someone may one day be very happy with it (even though it’s an unmodified game).
I’ll wait a little bit after it has been released, mostly because I’m sure it won’t be available much on release until you preorder and because the lineup of launch titles doesn’t particularly appeal to me.
ntsc-j
Just a note: there’s no PAL, NTSC or NTSC-J in handheld systems, since these are TV standards. You just say EU/US/JP versions instead.
It would be nice if you could play original DS games from all regions on it, but somehow I don’t see it happen (unless you have an official source?).
Also, to help your English: normaal > normal; systeem > system. Dutch has extra a’s and e’s here.
Crazy trips and falls, as expected from the Apicary. I like how you went on a totally different tangent with the VB about it taking up all your eye attention. Also, AWESOME VB suit.
You know, I only noticed just now, but Bound High’s intro soundtrack is very reminiscent of the tunes you would find in the GBA game Kuru Kuru Kururin.
that would be so cool if they did that (or at least a Red & Black 3DS (not the screen color but the color its painted) bundled with a cartridge full of Virtual Boy remakes! (which could have red/black play mode and new color play mode))
Yeah, Virtual Boy Wario Land in color on the 3DS would be awesome.
Yes, yes, YES. THIS. Perhaps an enhanced version, but I wouldn’t mind at all if they brought just the original game to 3DSWare!
Press ALT+SHIFT+1. You’ll now be asked to press keys corresponding to the buttons you want to use (at the bottom of the screen). Press each key twice. You have now set up your input. 😉
