There’s at least one guy that repairs these in his business, you have to search for him here, don’t remember the alias. Or try and google it. I think you can even ship loose displays and get a fixed pair back.

Then all of a sudden Deadly-D put down his bottle of wisky and turned to the gentlemen haven there little discussion in the old Virtual Saloon. He slowly got up and when he did some red trail dust began to stir on his hat. He walked over to a table that sat Guido Anchovy the kid, Doc e5frog and Jesse Zubari95 James and said “Pardon me. I couldn’t help but over hear your conversation, I believe the man your looking for is… Johnny Phantom.” The three men looked at each other with only there eyes for a second and before they could speak another word Deadly-D said “He ain’t been around these parts much. He’s been back east over there at them NintedoAge Forums likely got some new things goin. I reckon senden him a wire wouldn’t hurt.” Deadly-D knodded to the three card players and walked through the doors of the Virtual Saloon. They watched him get into his wire framed R-Wing and fly towards Mario Clash tower. THE END? 😛

I really want to try this on my VB but i don’t want to be the first one too post “Hey don’t try it, it will burn up you’re flash cart and system!” Lol 😯

That really is AWESOME!!!!!!! DogP, when you gonna fly us all too your house to have a game night? 😛

Hey man I started digging and the closest I got was Wickapedia. I think i typed “List of games for the original GameBoy” It was the best I could find. Unfortunately there not in order of age BUT there release dates are there. Hope this helps! 😀 I would have posted a link but im on my cell and didn’t want to steer you wrong by accedent.

What do you guys set the “depth” option at in Red Alarm? (Found in the options menu)

I always turn everything on maximum 😛

Nice! I always thought about making a HTPC in a NES case.

Dude you should go for it! I’m not very far with it at all. All i’ve done is used a dremel to holo it out. I have too many projects right now 1 my MAME Arcades hard drive burned out 2 NES PC 3 I have a VB housing that i want to put led’s in so the eyes light up red and 4 i want to build what looks like an old 50’s TV but its really a multiple game emulator. Lol sorry didn’t mean to hi jack the thread.

You never want to put your NES back together then? 🙂

Lol actually no i don’t the system was broken. I think it got hit with a power surge or something, it’s dead. I’m using the NES housing to build a PC NES… eventually lol 😛

For me it would be….. Red Alarm hands down because of the depth. Bound High would be next Teleroboxer or hmmm Vertical Force are tied for 3rd. I’m sure if I sat down and played them all I’d change my mind except I would still stick with Red Alarm as number 1 out of my 3 choices.

I just used the screws from my NES last night those worked perfect 😮

Does he still repair them though? IIRC he posted a while back that he wasn’t doing it anymore (temporarily, or maybe until further notice). Looking at his repair status, it looks like he hasn’t done anything since February (and that was a Saturn).

DogP

That’s too bad if he don’t anymore. That was my Saturn he modded 😀 I don’t know if it was me I’d still contact him to see if he would. Otherwise… I have no idea 🙁

Hey everybody,

Johnny Phantom repairs Virtual Boys if anyone is looking to get one fixed up. Here’s his site…

http://www.johnnyphantom.me/Johnny_Phantom/About_Me.html

He is or was a member on here haven’t seen him on for a while but anyway he repaired my VB and he also did a mod on me Sega Saturn for me I highly recommend him! Oh and to save on shipping for those that can get there VB’s open, just send him the LED boards and ribbon cables.

😎

What if we just wanted to buy the box instead of trading? How much would it cost? You could always charge something fair and then charge another $5.00 to use as a site donation or something.

And the award for whiny, selfish juvenile of the year goes to…

Oh man I hope it’s me I’ve been wanting someone to make a Wolfenstein game for me since I joined this site! 😛

Seriously though I can see what Akumie is saying with there only being so many home-brew titles but it’s a lot of hard work in making a game of any kind or caliber for any system. My brother and I are currently trying to make a side scroll-er as an X-BOX 360 download. He’s doing the programing and I’m doing the rest… that’s a whole lot of stuff! All my graphics are drawn on paper then scanned into the computer and photo shopped very long process probably an easier way but this works for me. Story… all my idea and its sooooo complicated to make into a side scrolling beat’em up lol Music… duh I don’t know what we’ll do for that! Sound effects… should be ok and you know what I still would not want to be in his shoes doing the programming. I have a job, hobbies a fiance and it’s hard to balance it all out. It’s already been basically said in another post but, if you want to make a game then start learning the language, play around with things for fun, and ask questions. 🙂 I guarantee you when you finally get a character on the screen moving around you’ll be ecstatic and want to show everyone! That will push you to keep going! I have a great respect for all of you on this site and especially those that have taken the time to make a game or even a demo. We cant all be programmers and we cant all be artists but we can try, and have fun trying! That I think is a lot of what home-brew is all about. 😀

“Recently Replied Topics” sounds fine KR155E RunnerPack is just suggesting that you change it to something that sounds better kinda like how Ghost Grabbers doesn’t sound as good as Ghost Busters lol I would hate to see “Recently Replied Topics” go actually.

That is sweet!!!!

Actually I wanted mine even smaller than that! 😛 I wanted to use a 7 inch tv screen for the monitor and then after that the mother board would determine its finished size. I saw that pic a while ago when I was creeping through the web to build my first MAME machine. I’m glad you posted the ling though e5frog that’s a real slick one. Right now I don’t have the money to build my mini cade but it’s cool cause I’m still tweaking my MAME. Sorry if I’m Hijacking this thread ummm you may have it back now lol I was only borrowing it honest 😎

If someone did Wolfenstein, could it actually be posted to this site, or is that still banned in Germany?

DogP

Easiest way around that would be to change the contraband on the walls to something else that means nothing. I could do that with my graphics editor in ten minuets 🙂 On the Super Nintendo version they just cut it all out completely. They also changed voices on the characters from German to English which could also be easily done with a sound editor. 🙂

Oh ok I got you 😛 I have this idea to build a mini arcade cab using atx boards so right away I thought you wanted to build a Vectrex system lol sorry but that is a very awesome idea you got there! When you build it please post some pics 😎

Yeah so DOOM would be pretty cool and… ah… AH…… CHOOO WOLFENSTEIN 3D!!! Wow -sniff- sorry guys it’s this damn cold. 😛
