I’ve been absent a while, but am always lurking around here from time to time. I’m regretfully selling off one of the last remaining items from my VB collection at cost. It was a one-off, commissioned piece (not official or licensed). Due to the size, material waste and number of layers/colors used, it was just around $300 back in 2012-2013ish. I am asking that, but I will entertain offers. If anyone here is interested, let me know; otherwise, I’ll leave it to the eBay gods.
Clock pics for those who asked. It measures 4″ wide x 4.5″ tall. I just put a battery in it to show that it works. It defaults to 1992, but it can be set up to the year 2020 before it resets.
Update: Blockbuster case, 32 bit system Transporter carry case variant, Hudson Soft Pin, Shoshinkai Paper Visor have been spoken for. I am updating my profile as things are taken. Anything not under negotiations (or at least some interest) by end of week will be going on eBay. I’ll include a link once that happens. Thanks to all who have responded!
I paid $50 for mine, but it was a ‘buy it now’ on eBay and had only been up for a few minutes. I’ve seen only one other actually sell, and that was a bidding war, again on eBay, ending a shade under $200. They just don’t surface often. I would personally not spend more that $100 on any pin…but that’s just me
This game has always intrigued me. I’m still not sure if I love it or hate it, but all the effort you put forth translating will surely tip the scales toward the favorable side. Thanks for your hard work, Ben!
Pretty slick! Thanks for posting the video. It is great to see such a refined piece of work. I can’t imagine what it took to create this masterpiece, but I tip my hat to all involved. Great job!
Not only have I had those same issues, but on normal auctions style listings, especially for rare items, I often see people that will bid extra high just too see what the high bidder’s max bid is, then they will retract their ridiculously high bid claiming – “Whoops! My kid did that!”
It’s just another B.S. tactic people use to work the system and Ebay does nothing to protect the sellers in those cases.
The very first time I played SD Gundam Dimension War (JP) it took me a solid three hours our more…mostly because I had no idea what I was doing. The eyes needed a while to cool off after that because everything looked sepia tone. No headaches, nausea, brain tumors (that I know of) our anything else that most rumors claim. Can’t say I’ve played it any longer than that in one sitting.

I’m guessing you want hundreds of dollars for it, so I’m out
I’m not asking hundreds, I’m asking thousands!
Joking aside, I don’t expect to get rich or recoup my full investment, but a fair price for the real Japanese version will be in the hundreds simply due to its rarity. 🙂
Nice collection! My wife also had a similar reaction when she realized how large my collection had become. I wasn’t as cunning when it came to keeping it a secret. Very funny. Keep the videos coming!
And, for those of you without 3D glasses, you can cross your eyes like the Magic Eye books and still get the same effect. (=
I definitely would go with Nester’s Funky Bowling. I never really liked Tetris of any sort, and 3D Tetris just gives me headaches. I’ve always enjoyed bowling in real life, so I think that has created a slight bias in gaming as well.
What a shame. The seller on the most recent auction doesn’t say a single thing about it being a translated repro. Hard to tell if he/she is trying to mislead or simply doesn’t know the difference. Seems difficult to imagine this would have already found its way into the hands of a secondary buyer, but I guess it’s possible… Either way, a troubling sight. I’m just glad the large majority have stayed off the interweb/speculator market.
