The pictures are from a game magazine from 2009. Oh and i can se that one virtual boy item is on one of those pictures 🙂
Wow Robert! Looks like a video game hall of fame or something! I especially like your N64 disk drive boxed up nice and tidy among other things! :O
jrronimo – It’s nice to see you have a shelf dedicated to your VB collection and that you keep it elevated off the floor, sitting high on it’s perch where it belongs. That’s how mine started as well, but it didn’t stay that way for long! 😉 Also, congrats on finding the that rare minty copy of Jack Bros.
trippstatic – That’s great to see your collection out in the open where it can be viewed and enjoyed by everyone. The way you organized your collection to show the evolution of Nintendo over the years is very nice!
Holy cow! That looks slick! I still love my gray FB+, but this one raises the bar a few more notches. Nice to see these things evolve.
*two thumbs up*
Damn! Just when I decided to stop spending money for a while, this pops up. Well, so much for that New Year’s resolution! …and to think I didn’t even make it past January…
Here’s to Space Pinball!
😀
That’s awesome. Didn’t take long either. Let’s hope those donations keep rolling in! 🙂
Finally someone willing to ship this thing instead of local pickup only. Zero feedback makes me a bit curious, but I can’t bid right now anyway. Good luck to those of you in the game!

Guys, we’re gonna need to make another repro CIB soon.
Agreed! 🙂
By the way, nice US collection there, Glover!
Nice quality, high resolution scans. They really show the nice condition of your items.
On a side note…what I would give for a set of those POGs… I must have looked at a over a million POGs in bulk auctions, used game stores, GOODWILL, gutters, ditches, drains, even the couch cushions, but no luck yet. Maybe one day a set will fall into my lap. Until then, I will just admire yours.
Donation sent! Thanks again for your hard work and dedication to the community!
We’re working hard to get you past sleeping on the couch level and hopefully pushing you a bit closer to taking vacation this year! 🙂

UncleTusk could create a listing and refer to his website in the description I suppose?I personally am not hugely against people selling them on (for the same value, not auction) if they actually need to, but the deliberate flipping to turn a quick buck hurts the buyer and the efforts of people like UncleTusk and Minestorm.
I despise it and reported him for one thing. I’m not sure what legal methods he’s talking about it but it’s a desperate effort to cling on to an imoral decision. Counterfeit or replica items are not allowed to be sold on ebay, so you can report using that option and it is a legitimate report as well in fact.
I have to agree with you. If someone is dumping their collection, it would be hard not to resell it, but inflating the price like that for something that is still available to the community is despicable. As you stated, this is blatant and I have no tolerance for people with that mind set.
As for “legal action” that toaster doesn’t know bread from butter. Ebay will never disclose who reported him, so he will never find out who’s behind it. Even if he could, there’s no action he could take unless someone is sending threating hate mail to his inbox (which I hope is not the case). There is nothing he can do but keep relisting and posting false threats.
Chances are pretty good he’s been on this site before (like I had been prior to joining). So, I hope he enjoys knowing how much disdain we have for him. Cheers!
…yeah, and this time he’s selling it with a Virtual Boy. So, it’s very similar to this Hong Kong guy who’s been trying to sell his cart-only auction of Space Invaders with a supposedly “free console” (http://www.ebay.com/itm/JAPAN-NINTENDO-VIRTUAL-BOY-RARE-SPACE-INVADERS-SET-/320703732300?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aab6e9a4c).
It appears that he’s trying to hedge against it being removed. If questioned, he could easily say “Oh no! The auction is just for the VB and includes a free game.” Then revamp his description and we’d be back at square one.
My question is this:
Is there a way we can create our own auctions for this to prevent this type of speculation? Or is there a way to create an auction with a “How To” for people to find their own copies of Bound High? Perhaps list a ridiculous auction with a $10k “buy it now” option with instructions to contact the seller with questions regarding where to find Bound High?
I know there used to be a lot of those type of auctions back in Ebay’s early years, but I haven’t kept up to date with their policies nor have I seen such an auction in a very long time.
I’d really like to see this type of speculation squashed. Just curious what options we have to fight back instead of just stand idly by while these people take advantage of unsuspecting victims.
That sounds tedious. Although I know absolutely nothing about the technical aspects of what you are doing, I still find it interesting to read your updates. It’s like a behind the scenes sneak peak.
Kudos to another great video. I think you hit the nail on the head with these awards. I especially like the award for best music to Panic Bomber. I’m not much into that genre, but I had to play through for the music. Fine job, sir.
Just got mine! They arrived I’m perfect shape! Your are a master of your craft, uncleT. Thanks again!
I wish I were able to bid, but I’d be forced to sleep on the couch for the rest of eternity…so I’m out. :u(
Re-Edit:
The seller should be relisting the US demo VB soon with corrected info to prevent confusion. Keep your eyes open…

Well, knowing how rare the box is, I would be prepared to pay upwards of $300-400 maybe more? …but the way VB prices have been going, there are likely others that would pay much more.If this had a true US demo with low serial, I have no doubt it would fetch a hefty sum around $1k or more.
EDIT:
Ok, here’s the scoop. I talked with the seller and notified that the VB didn’t match up with the box. Turns out he really does have the original and just didn’t realize the wrong one was in the box. The auction has been updated with new photos. Serial number shows VN100001012[1].

Whoa… red flag: The seller has posted a pic of the serial number on the Virtual Boy, and the serial number is V10086378.
I was thinking that if the number was a high serial number on a North American unit, that alone would cause suspicion as to whether the right system is in the right box, but now we have a high serial number on a JAPANESE system in a North American white demo box.
I think this is clear evidence that at some point in time, the wrong system got placed in the white demo box. Thus, I would say that if you plan to bid on this item, you are likely bidding on a genuine white demo box, but you are not getting a genuine demo system in the box.
Oh snap! Well, looks like another auction for a rare box with a standard retail item inside. I’d still think the box would bring a good price, though. Someone like me with just the innards and no outer box sure could benefit from a properly described box-only auction… Cough cough.
*Edit*
Gloves going back on. It’s looking like the Mrs. will kill me if I bid on this thing…
Already done. A new pic should be added soon
