I want one aswell.

I want one of these! I already have the Flash Boy Prus, but another cart which allows me to store more than one rom is amazingsauce! Don’t have any money until end of month tho! I sent an email!

if there is any still available, I want to buy one. 128 or 256 if possible

Installed mine today. Works like a clock. Thanks furrtek <3
only one detail I wish you could add for next person. please tell where to grab the 5V from, it wasn't crystal clear. I took mine from pin4 of the U8.

afaik Furrtek is the only one working on something able to output video to a tvscreen.

do you have a homemade board/system which can read the vb graphics data from it’s chips and output hdmi already?

can’t I edit my previous post?! 🙁

anyways gave it a while and it was super easy to compile and test atleast. tried all projects and they all worked.

super easy to start developing 🙂

now that we can build link cable, how far are we from building a rgb output device thru the link cable port? 😀

too bad I already ordered the more expensive cables, but hopefully they’ll atleast be built well etc 🙂 your price is insanely better.

Yep, VBDE (http://vbde.planetvb.com/). 🙂

will definately try that out! 😀

if there is any simple way to:
1. build & compile
2. test in emulator (rather than having to flash via flashboyplus)

then I’d love to try out some minor vb coding.
if it’s all assembler, I think I’ll kind of skip. depends.
will have a check here whenever I have some free time: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/tech/?sec=tools

I wanna say WOW! I played thru this now that I got my Flash Boy Plus and holy smokes! This was amazing! This was actually the first thing I flashed onto my Flash Boy Plus. Loved it.

Now if only: Intro and moaaaar! 😀

Anyways, well done!

“Do you think you’ll design the game to fit on the flashboy in parts?”
Unless someone comes up a good way to do bank switching and increase the amount of storage on a flashboy plus. Maybe FB++ with 32MB and flash menu and possible bankswitching thru some quirky means. Well feels like that’s not gonna happen 😛 Edit: Nvm, just saw the post below this one, hahaha 😛

got mine today… yay

but I notice on planet virtualboy webpage…
the link to developer page goes to some food stuff now 😀

I downloaded the Snatcher demo and played it thru. Holy shit that was masterfully done! I just wish there was some way to wear the vb comfortable 😛

Ok so we know the battery pack is good. With the battery pack on the controller, turn the power switch on and check pin 5 and 6 on the controller plug. Pin 5 is the bottom middle and pin 6 is to the left. You should get the same voltage here if all is well.

Out of interest have you tried pressing the start button a few times when attempting to play, just wounding if you get to a point to here in game music?

I measured the voltages, and it’s coming outta the pins you suggested. So there’s some problem with the unit itself.

He said he was using Galactic Pinball, which should have sound as soon as he turns it on pretty much. Definitely sounds like a power issue.. If the controller has power coming out the plug then the next step is opening up the console itself.

Certainly not a “new” condition console, and not something you think would go wrong in shipping. If it was displays I’d understand, but this sounds kind of like you ripped you off. Have you talked to the seller yet?

I have talked to the seller and he offered some of the money back which I decided to go with. If I can fix the system I guess it’s still okay. I have successfully opened up the system itself, but I still haven’t actually checked the voltages on the controller connector yet. I’ll do that next time I have time to work on it.

don’t hear anything, I turned up volume max, nothing

Hello and welcome.

First thing to do is put some batteries in the battery pack and check to see if you get voltage (with a multimeter) from the two contacts on the back of it. If not then the battery pack is at fault. If this is ok move on to the controller. Is there any damage on the contacts on the controller?

Getting 9.71 V outta the battery pack or something like that, so that still seems intact.

The controller and cable doesn’t look damaged.
