Well, we all know and have to expect that stuff like this happens after any limited release of a game. I agree, though, that he is trying to use a lie in addition to the rarity of the game to sell it, which is just wrong. I’m just surprised that it has happened so soon. My guess is that he truly bought a copy of the game and was just too lazy to make his own picture of it, so he just stole the one off of Uncle Tusker’s site for his auction. Hopefully not too many buyers were from Canada. That would make it easier to track down who the guy is.
Just to clarify, not a complaint against Uncle Tusk, more against USPS – tis the season to abuse the mail! It was clearly marked Do Not Bend on both sides, and the fact that Canada Post felt compelled to write an apology on it, too funny!
Got my two sets of manuals, boxes & stickers today, unfortunately lots of admittedly minor issues, but hey, we’re all collectors after all!
The envelope came very bent – there is even a note written on it (I guess by Canada Post) saying “Sorry – received it in this condition”, I guess from USPS.
The boxes are bent a little but ok, but the manuals and stickers were sliding around in the fairly large envelope – so the corners are bent, and one corner of both stickers stuck to one of the manuals, guess there was some residue there. I unstuck them, but the sticker corner is bent, the manuals have small sticker marks on them, sigh.
Would be a good idea to put them between thin cardboard and tape it together so they can’t slide around so much, doesn’t add anything to the weight.
Good enough for me – will be ordering the manual/box/sticker set. I think I will keep Richard’s original sticker on my cart though, and consider it a rare, oop varient, lol!
Someone also brought up the Ebay issue, but now that this is a commercial public venture ( and not Richard doing it as a favor for members of this site), i don’t know why anyone would care ( if they do).
After all, Uncle Tusk is obviously making money on this too. Just my opinion…

Anyone received their orders yet, or can vouch for Uncle Tusk?
I got burned on AtariAge for a homebrew and like at least some high level validation…
No offense intended…

I think it technically causes some problems in the copyright law area, since Nintendo still owns the copyrights to the game and nobody got official permission from them to make and sell these things. That’s probably why it’s best to just leave it in an obscure forum section of the site and not make it more easily visible in the News section.
Well, this makes perfect sense.
Not sure why it would matter as it’s now being openly sold through his website…no secret there!
Ditto from a VB collector in Canada.
Thank you Eric for your offer to send internationally, I may take you up on that.
It’s so easy to ship to Canada from the US, I never understand why people wouldn’t (I ship tons of stuff to the States), but that’s not the point here, hopefully things work out well for you in your current situation.
Just to throw this in the mix – I have a Japanese tap with a molding code of 2. It does not have a box, and has the wider squares. Not sure what that number means, if anything.
