I could have done entirely without the “hurts your eyes” jokes throughout, since we know health experts have proven that the VB displays were in fact good for eyes.
I mean I know it’s a stereotype that’s been ingrained into the “gamer” crowd, but come on, if you’re making a video like this I’d use the opportunity to debunk a common myth, rather than stoke the flames.
Yeah, I guess I could have done more to say that it’s not actually THAT bad, at least for me. I don’t know, when I was a kid it bugged me a little bit, and my cousin literally couldn’t play it for more than 5 minutes without getting a headache. Now it just makes my vision screwed up and blueish for a few minutes if I play for long enough.

Since the guy is obviously not an avid Virtual Boy enthusiast, I was actually surprised at how well the Virtual Boy was spoken of. I might just have to subscribe and check out his other videos.
I’d really appreciate that. Yeah, I’m no enthusiast… until a few weeks ago, I’d owned the VB for almost 20 years, and I only ever had two games!
Actually, I remember that day really well for some reason. It was 1997, there was this HUGE pyramid of Virtual Boys for $30 apiece right by the entrance at KBToys, and they were selling games for $5 to $10 a pop.

I liked the video. Are you the guy who made it? Always nice to see when someone actually checks stuff out and isn’t just phishing for clicks.
Yep, that’s me! And thanks, I’ve lurked here from time to time for at least 15 years, maybe even longer.
