Wow… I almost thought this was legit for a moment. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-Virtual-Boy-VB-SD-GUNDAM-DIMENSION-WAR-CIB-English-Version-/290960166135?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item43be93ccf7
I really thought it might have been a repro, but was a little unsure. Then I read the description which describes it to be in English “as it would have been if it was released in the US/Canada”.
I never seen a repro like this though. Does the booklet have anything in it? and there is a TRANSLATED version of SD Gundam Dimension War? this is still pretty cool.
EDIT: Apparently this repro was something Uncle Tusk did.

I never heard of “Flying Henry”. Is that one a previously unknown unreleased game?

As for the first part of NikoChan Battle, namely “Is there an enemy in the corner smiling!?” I have no idea what is going on with that. It doesn’t seem that Bullet-Proof Software would have ever intended “Is there an enemy in the corner smiling!?” to be a part of NikoChan Battle’s title; nevertheless, the only things that usually appear in these spots on the Release Schedule pages of the Famitsu Magazines are the titles of the upcoming games and no more, so it does cause one to wonder. Either BPS did want it to be a part of the title for an extremely short period of time, which is why that part of the title no longer appeared on the Release Schedule page of the very next week’s issue of Famitsu, or it was placed there by someone from Famitsu in error and was then corrected in time for the next week’s issue. I guess I would have to conclude that the latter is more likely the case.
“Is there an enemy in the corner smiling!? NikoChan Battle” certainly is a silly title for a game. It reminds me of the DS/3DS game “Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?!”. 😎

Nikochan battle is the same as Faceball.Virtual battle ball however…not sure what that is.
Thanks for translating Benjamin!
I tried to find by a unreleased game page showing an alternate name and apparently Virtual Battle Ball is this: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/games/?u023g
Are “Virtual Battle Ball” and “Is there an enemy in the corner smiling!? NikoChan Battle” both previously unknown? because I couldn’t find them on “Unreleased Games”.

It definitely says Signal Rat in this scan.. Katakana is usually used when the words originated from another language, usually English. I’m not sure what Tatto (or Tat) would mean unless it’s a word they made up for the game. Otherwise, Signal Rat doesn’t exactly make a whole lot of sense either.
Well, it said it was a race game, right? maybe it’s a joke on “rat race”.
As for “tat”, I know that’s British slang for “rubbish, junk” but I doubt that’s what they were referring to.

Yeah something like that would be sweet, I wonder if 8 bit Matt would be willing to make something Hmmmm?I told him (on Twitter) how you were wondering (and so am I) about if he would make a shirt like that. I hope he does it.

It’s a good thing I own a printing company, then, I guess.
You would make some?

I know this is unrelated to the topic, but I’ve always wondered why some of the Dragon Hopper screenshots were taken while the VB was showing a low battery signal…

Your idea is much more Virtual Boy-like.Thanks GYF:)
To be honest GYF I think it would look better pixelated also.
That idea kind of reminds me of this;
Virtual Boy with a blockbuster case that has a custom sticker on it that some guy made in 1995.
EDIT: Saddest quote about the Virtual Boy ever in this auction; “Sadly, due to poor engineering on Nintendo part, it appears that all Virtual Boys are dying.” (what a way to describe the ribbon cable problem!)

It’s good, it just needs to come in black w red graphics!
You know, to be honest, I thought of the same thing! Except in the reverse way (the red shirt would be good if the print were black).
Your idea is much more Virtual Boy-like.

The problem was that the badges database table was corrupted. It’s fixed now. 🙂

Game & Wario is Nintendo’s latest Wii U release and it makes some mentions to the VB, such as one sitting on 9-Volts desk.I am not sure they have as much internal hate for the system as they once did.
I was curious to what it looked like so I did a quick google search…
This should be mentioned in the VB cameos section along with the Virtual Boy being in Animal Crossing New Leaf!
I am glad to see Nintendo still makes occasional mentions of the VB.

Welcome back! How’s Virty? 😛I remember there being a bug in the past that caused badges to disappear and members’ post counters to display -1. Maybe that’s what happened. I’m sure KR155E would make an announcement if badges were being removed.
Well, I hope he doesn’t have glitchy screen by now…
That bug reminds me of what happened when I signed up for PVB; some glitch happened where it said I signed up on 1970 and I believe that also said -1 posts. I couldn’t use my account and had to email KR155E about that.
Guy claims these obscure video game items are “made by Micro Games of America, the same makers of Virtual Boy and that whole Wario thing.”
I have NEVER heard of Micro Games of America being involved with the Virtual Boy. Is this just assumption because they are red and black?
Also, hello again, PVB. It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here. 😎

I think he was making refrence to the game based off of the movie Jumper. The game was called Jumper Griffin’s Story, and was made on Wii and a few other consoles when the movie was new.
Oh, I thought he was joking about if employees from Nintendo (who have not thought much about the Virtual Boy lately) came up with a good idea to bring unreleased VB games to the 3DS, they would refer to one of the examples of an unreleased VB game they could put on there as “Griffon Jumper” when they really mean “Dragon Hopper”, but they call it that because they have a cloudy memory of the 16+ year old console that didn’t sell too well

Well, my computer doesn’t run videos too well so I took only a quick glimpse at it but I do know of the existence of a Metroid GBA SP but I was just making sure it was the same thing I knew of and not some even more super-rare sweepstakes item or something
I do like it, though

From what I remember, it was called “Darth Pawn”
