So you bought a camcorder, and don’t know what to do with it? Seems like a bad way to spend money (that could’ve gone to more VB games a flashboy 😉 ).
it was on sale 😀
The rechargeable battery for the DS is even mentioned to have a battery that can explode… if handled incorrectly, like peeling off the label or shorting the battery
I don’t do any of those things so it should be safe to play DS without fear… I hope
Perhaps we should try to figure out the music of other games that don’t have descriptions in them…
too bad I’ve only got Mario’s Tennis (for now at least… Teleroboxer, Galactic Pinball and Red Alarm are coming soon to a mailbox near me! 😀 )
I’m rather happy I made this topic, and to think it was originally just made out of my own curiosity and I was unaware it would help PVB’s game music descriptions 😛
Welcome to PVB! a very awesome place!
I’m one of the many friendly neighborhood VB freaks (if PVB is considered something of a Virtual neighborhood)
Me and my Virtual Boy welcome you (well, you do welcome him right Virty? 😀 )
Have a wonderfully red time! 😛
got a reply from KR155E…
he says theres no way unless if I become a “established, respected, and knowing member of the community” who hasn’t just started playing with my VB, in which he might consider it in about… 10 years 😛
I bet I’ll still be a enthusiast who’s crazy about the VB in 10 years… hey, I’ll probably be even more of an enthusiast by then
*movie like tone* my VB enthusiasm has just begun! 😀

I’d continue my search for Virtual Girls and a proper link-cable to… “interact”.Lol. I think GunpeyYokoiFan is a kid, dude.
Funny comment, but just giving you a heads up.
*COUGH* Apparently RidingHero doesn’t know about my nasty obsession with Virty that was way before svenk91’s post *COUGH* 😀

Donating time daily has little to do with site traffic, but traffic has much to do with how many staff members are needed in the first place. Play the games, learn more about the VB, and if you wish to help VB donate to the site to help KR155E keep things going. Maybe try for a high score?
I wish I could donate, but I probably couldn’t get permission on that since either the site would be considered a scam or “just not something we can put money into” (not that I think you guys are scam artists or anything)
so, thats another reason I really hope someday I could be of the PVB staff 😛
a little off topic: you played every VB game released? which one is your favorite? 😀

Being a mod is a job and donation of your time. I think you should spend more time playing VB than worrying about modding a community you don’t quite understand yet. I’m glad you finally played your VB, and I look forward to your input about the new games you bought, but this site is so slow and quiet that I doubt another staff member will ever be needed.
I know, I know! 😀
but its because I love the VB so much is why I’d consider such a thing!
its also kinda silly how you say “Being a mod is a job and donation of your time.” then “this site is so slow and quiet that I doubt another staff member will ever be needed.” 😛
don’t worry! I wouldn’t give up Virtual Boy-ing!

Good thing I use an AC adapter for my VB. With batteries, you could play lying down, but leakage and limited power are the only misfortunes. 🙁
*shudders at the thought of batteries leaking in my VB (well, technically its controller)* 😯

there is acids, there its newly splattered on the drawer 😯

“How does one become a PVB staff member?”
If the VB love is strong within you you will be contacted by the PVB staff when you’re still at very young age. You will be trained throughout your youth as a so called pvbawan and at the end must face several difficult trials.
“Do Virtual Girls exist but hide like boy ladybugs(pixar “a bugs life” reference) and how can you tell which is which?”
They seem to have existed but no signs have been seen since 1996, they are rumored to be extinct and only legends remain. There disappearance is the direct cause for the decline in the VB population as no new units are created anymore and the VB becomes a dying breed.
“is the VB Red/Black or Black/Red?”
It’s neither and both.
“with all those on PVB who have two or more VBs as backup or collecting such as getting a Japanese model if they have a US model, should I get another VB?”
You should try to gather as much VB’s as you can and safe them from perilous dusty locations like old boxes and attics. Every VB you has earned the right of a respectable home and we are the ones to make that so.
“which VB game is your favorite?”
I’d vote the flashboy, for it has all at your command! But since I don’t have one I will leave this question unanswered, for it good very well contain small parts that are hazardous to ones throath and thus would not be the best.
“what do you nickname your consoles/handhelds?”
I don’t.
“does KR155E’s fabled “VB tower” exist?”
I do not know of it existence, my source do not show one: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/usercenter/?section=collection&uid=1 unless you mean the debugger, that is certainly tower shaped.
“what will you do on Gunpei Yokoi’s Birthday? (September 10th)”
I probably just started my new study then, I think I’ll be drinking beer and totally forget.
“does anyone have any spare VB carts?”
I do, often when I bought a game somewhere and they had a vb game for under 5 dollars.
“have you ever mentioned the Virtual Boy in public?”
Is it not so, that this very site is available to be read by all?
“do you have other consoles/handhelds that are Red/Black?”
Although my NES’s has much black and some red, it’s main color would be gray and I’m not sure if I can count it in. If I may, yes, if not, then no will be my answer.
“what would you do if you were a VB for a day?”
I’d continue my search for Virtual Girls and a proper link-cable to… “interact”.
“if a virtual boy(non-real human) was playing a Viirtual Boy (console) would he be a Virtual Virtual Boy Boy?”
It’d be a VB playing a VB.Actually, in my opinion the only question too silly, crazy and slightly awkward question to answer is:
are all the other ones too silly, crazy or awkward to answer?
and I answer it with: Offcourse not milady.
1. yep! the VB is my favorite console! *awaits PM from staff* 😛
2. I wish I was a Virtual Girl
3. Intresting
4. Yaaaaay more little red friends 😀
5. small post not recommended for VB enthusiasts under the age of 3… but they can’t be enthusiasts anyways at that age so no worries
6. aw man
7. yep, thats technically a VB tower 😛
8. aw man
9. really? *rubs hands together like a cartoon bad guy*
10. I meant besides the internet
11. 😀
12. I wish I could do the same to my Virtual Boy, Virty! I wish I was a Virtual Girl… 😀 (things you didn’t need to know, right?)
13. VBs playing VBs
14. 😛

That’s a huge waste! How come you have such a large collection of unplayed games? It’s not the leaking batteries used for saving is it?
well not all the games are for my Gameboy so its not all because of the leaking batteries, although a few of those gameboy games are with my gameboy in its carry case
svenk91 wrote:
Can’t you ask someone to check it for you?
no because last time I let someone change the batteries in something that had leaked ones they prodded and scraped the thing so much and kept taking the batteries in and out that I fear if I asked for help my Gameboy (more to me than a cheap clock) they would break it further or it would just be horrifying to watch them turn it off and on and scrape at the compartment and take the batteries out and in and out 😯

EDIT: Maybe you could use the English ROM in an emulator, just to get you through the menus. Is that considered “fair use”? 😛
what is with that anyways? wouldn’t only playing currently sold Nintendo games (DS, Wii and the upcoming 3DS) on an emulator be illegal because you are making them lose money? they don’t sell VB games anymore so they arent losing money so shouldn’t it be legal to play old Nintendo games (Gameboy games, VB games etc.) on emulators as long as your not using it to make your own profit? 😕

Only several posts ago you said: “I am a TERRIBLE Yokoi fan” but apparently now you’re not? Which is it?
Its like a good cop/bad cop situation…
sometimes I can be a good fan (my support for the VB for example) but other times I can be a bad fan (letting my Gameboy battery leak and being aware the whole time that it had aging batteries)
