Haha, i had just spotted that about 20 minutes ago and was about to post it but ya beat me to it!
Is this some official product or is this just made by someone who wanted to play it on the TV? it wouldnt be able to produce 3D would it like the emulators? it would just be red and black like the VB but on the TV with no 3d effects yeh?
50,000 dollars is alot!!! is it just the quality of the photo or is that a hint of yellow in the game when its on the TV?
Very interesting…
yeah thats true, im thankful for it, i still play it as well, its in my VB right now! lol, besides i think if you posted it saying there were 2 and you snagged them both for that price then some people will get cranky lol, but it was a nice change from paying full price on a game, i actually clicked on the link when you had that thread and i was in shock that one was still available to buy!

Yeah I know Vertical Force isn’t to expensive but when I bought it the only U.S versions of the game that I was able to find were about twenty dollars more than the import version and they were just the cartridges without the dust caps, So I figured that I would get the import version since it was complete, cheaper, and plays the same as the american version. Space Squash I always wanted the game but never really planed on getting it, until I was on ebay late one night and I found a boxed copy of the game for $15.00 so I happily bought it, as for the rest of the Japan only games im not really to interested in them.
fantastic collection mate! i still have like 5 US games to buy, 3d tetris, vertical force, golf, waterworld and jack bros 🙂 – i recently got nesters funky bowling as well!
As for space squash, i got that game as well thanks to you – remember the guy selling the space squash had 2 available and you bought one and posted on here that there was one for sale?? i snagged it up and was forever thankful that you told me about it! i absolutely love the game and never really had the money to spend on it at the time! I wont forget this generous favour you did! You coulda bought them both and sold one for more 😀
Thanks 🙂 and that sounds like a nice cabinet! its a pitty they’re so big, i really like them but finding room for such a thing is tough!
That’s cool that its similar to virtual boy Panic Bomber, i might give it a go on a emulator as well!
Thanks for the comment!
I’ve heard of these, the magazine AVGN was showing them from would probably be a Nintendo Power magazine showing official nintendo merchandise, i have no idea what its called, it looks pretty cool though !
AVGN actually owns one, you can see it in a few of his videos, in one of his latest ones (Bugs bunny’s crazy castle) episode at around 9:40 and 12:22 in the episode you see it and they get real close to the nintendo storage cupboard for the NES (i dunno what its called lol)
hope it helps, id say its a uncommon item, not sure if its rare but it would be hard to obtain one due to its size and being uncommon and all. I’d certainly like one!
-.- This ‘haunic’ person has posted on like 10 different threads, hes just copied and pasted someones post and repeated it several times with a website hes trying to advertise, and from the names of some of the websites im sure some of it would contain 18+ content…
i love the sega mega cd, sonic CD, lords of thunder, robo aleste, snatcher, the terminator… the list goes on, some of them games have great soundtracks and unique gameplay.. i really want to get the sega multi mega (mega cd and megadrive in a small compact unit). i only have the model 2 sega cd.
the FMV games are a unique experience now, like the virtual boy. i mean when i heard about watching video footage and switching from cameras and setting of traps i couldnt wait to play night trap / double switch. some of them are lame and bad quality though, some are alright here and there though if you know what i mean
yeah im 16 and i would have only been 3 years old when the virtual boy came out lol. i just got a sudden urge to collect games and systems now. I was a mainly nintendo fan with the nintendo 64 and a sony fan with the playstation. never had any sega stuff and i have been collecting so much of that now, all the accessories, unique games it really makes me wonder why they didnt do better then nintendo. Some of the accessories and add-ons are awesome like tv tuners for a sega game gear, dreamcast accessories like the fishing rod with motion sensor, the sega master system and its 3d glasses, for the time they were pretty good i gotta admit. i guess back in the day some of the things like the sega 32x werent that good though and that made sega look bad, id say the megadrive, master system and dreamcast were there best efforts.
i got a sealed copy off ebay a while ago, only because it also included an extra cartridge, so i had one to play and one to preserve lol, its my only sealed vb game. it wasnt expensive either only like 10-15$
Marios tennis is cheap because i think it got bundled with the virtual boy, so every virtual boy had marios tennis with it. making it more common.
Red alarm, teleroboxer and a few others arent too expensive, they are good fun as well. 3D tetris is a game i still am yet to buy and yeah its expensive because i think it was the last released Virtual Boy game, so not many people would have got a hold of it, plus tetris is a popular game so that adds to the price i guess.
wario land i got the cartridge not long ago for 15$ it aint to expensive, but if your looking for a boxed copy your gonna pay more because you know back in the day the box was just ‘packaging’ people just threw it out.
the real real expensive games like virtual bowling, SD Gundam Dimension war etc, i dunno i didnt really play them much (on the emulator as i dont own them) But wario land and alot of the other virtual boy games i find more fun and they are by far cheaper.
Most of the games are expensive because the Virtual boy got discontinued within like a year, thats pretty short life-span for a gaming console, it was only released in US and Japan so mainly poeple from them places would have got the games when the system was released, people in Australia, United Kingdom, Europe etc all missed out.
Its funny cause im from Australia and only heard about the Virtual Boy last year! But i guess i hadn’t been much of a game collector years back, only in recent years i have decided collecting games is a great hobby and is great fun as well to play alot of these great gems (games as well as the unique systems)
Hope this info helps!
That’s awesome, i was thinking of doing a teleroboxer one as i’ve beaten all the robots without dying and even beaten the final hidden cat boss, i love that game so much as well. I havnt had the time to do it, if you want to that would be cool, all the robot bosses, each robot boss could be recorded seperately.
cool i’ll have to look into them games!
Yeah i heard it doesnt work with LCD or Plasma TV’s, thats the same for lightguns as well they dont work either on a LCD or Plasma TV, thats fine though i got plenty of TV’s that work with my lightguns so should be fine with the Glasses.
I’m sure the 3D glasses wont enhance the graphics, i mean its still going to be 8-bit but i guess the experience and feeling of 3D will be better.
Missile defense 3D looks cool, basic lightgun game, shoot the missiles on the screen but apparently they come towards you almost giving the feeling they are coming out the screen!
I wouldn’t mind playing water world in the colour blue, in 3D on the emulator if this is what you are sorta talking about?
Hmm not sure… maybe its to do with how many objects are on screen at one time? sorta like framerate, if it cant keep up with the game and it has a glitchy display… its going to fritz out. When my virtual boy had glitchy display in the right eye it only did it in teleroboxer, maybe because its a big game with alot of action, not sure lol. games like mario tennis and v tetris didnt go glitchy however.
hope it helps
Thanks for that! i enjoyed reading it! 😀
That would be great if you could! – I’m from Australia, dont get Nintendo Power magazine here, it sucks.. i mean i could buy them from eBay but if you could scan that article that would be awesome, id like to have a read!
Thanks
I got a gamebridge but its pretty similar to the dazzle capturing device, and my gamebridge doesnt do NES SNES 64, the old ones anyway..
high quality im not so sure sorry, the only way i know how to play videogames on the computer would be via emulators.. or video capturing devices such as gamebridge and dazzle.
out of interest what kind of project are you doing, what do you have to do?
Thats a good idea, that way you will be able to send people working virtual boys, fixed – guaranteed.
I used a very fine sandpaper to slowly sand the ribbon cable that way i got to solder it. Just an idea
hope it helps
Its not a great deal, but its also not a bad deal – you could probably sell it for a tiny bit more, you havnt been ripped off, i woulda payed that considering it includes everything but the box.
good find 😉 100% feedback is good, the transaction should be fine!
