BTW, I bought my HyperBoy from StoneAgeGamer. They have them in stock at the moment, but only in black.

Right, I’ve ordered the HyperBoy. I’ll buy the WZ ROM as soon as I get the cart.

Looking forward to trying the new 32MB games.

Thanks abarth. I couldn’t see it on the site at first.

I have FlashBoy+, I take it I’d have to upgrade. Hmmm….

Thinking of buying a HyperBoy and the WZ ROM now.

Is the ROM out for this yet? I won’t spring for a physical cart, but I’d love to buy a ROM.

Remarkable! Some great discoveries. 🙂

It sounds to me very much like a problem with the power that’s being delivered.

I think maybe the HyperFlash, being more complex than regular carts, might be pushing things.

Are you able to try it with batteries?

This is all terrific, PizzaRollsRoyce, I’ll keep an eye on your progress – you have been bookmarked!

I’m particularly keen to see what you come up with on the Raspberry Pi side of your work. Have you seen what the Atari hackers have been up to with their modern implimentation of DPC+ ? They’re using ARM processors within their homebrew 2600 carts. I’m not sure if it’s anything similar to what you are doing with the VB, but thought it may interest you. Here’s a link:

I’ve downloaded Elevated Speed and shall put it on my Flash Boy later.

I wish you every encouragement with this.

Is anyone able to do a solder fix on one screen unit for me?

I’m in the UK but can send anywhere.

Thanks.

Looks terrific.

I’ve found a new display unit.

Thanks for looking!

Back atcha.

Please let me know Iest!

Thank you.

Hi Dreammary, I’ve had my VB’s displays fixed in the past. I got a very nice set fixed by Runner Pack.

The problem for me was that one of the ribbon cables got accidentally creased and the display unit crushed, and it wouldn’t make connections since.

Thus I have one working display, and need another.

Nobody? Aww.

I would consider a display that is in need of fixing as well.

Thanks for looking!

Ooooh yes please.

It’s the high school that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs.

I waited round on eBay before one came up in UK.

You don’t need a stepdown transformer. Just something that will deliver (I think) 9V DC.

Look for a 1A supply at minimum.

Great news!

I noticed that as well, haha! I forgot to ask.. has anybody has seen that before with new accounts? lol. I dunno what to do about it.

How prescient of you to join this site a whole 25 years before the Virtual Boy came out.
