i think the only thing keeping it from being released is the stalemate thats going on. a few people have bound high, a few have faceball, a few have space pinball (which isn’t really that amazing), and an even smaller few have a few other things, such as zero racers and possibly dragon hopper, though I have no hard evidence that dragon hopper is actually out there at all.
basically, the allure of having something rare and not wanting others to have it is the only thing keeping these things locked up. it also seems that any background trading of most of these things has come to a near halt because nobody wants to risk ‘their’ rom/cart being publicly released.
i truly think one of two things will happen eventually (probably so late that nobody really gives a shit anymore). the more likely scenario is that someone will finally say ‘fuck it’ and release most of these rare things, taking everyone down with them. at that point, i doubt anyone will want to trade anything at all. the other option is that what we’ve got is what we’ve got and nothing more will leak.
there already are badges. there is already an off topic forum. there is already a 64DD website. everything you’ve suggested already exists. the only way to further expand on these things would cause the site to lose its focus.
i think ups may have an option to come to your house and pick up/package something, in addition to shipping it. if not ups, i know there are other places that do. you could probably get someone on ebay to go with that if you set it up. but then again, we’re talking about a massive shipping bill. i dont have one of those things but i’m lucky enough to work in a building that has one. if i ever get an itch i can just go look at it and not have the need to buy one.
i wonder that as well. it is pretty cool that it was an official Nintendo product. i wonder how you go about pressing start/select and also a+b, since for one you blow and the other you suck.
the rhythm one could be interesting, i’ll agree, but spooky Olympics sounds amazing.

i’ve had that game crash out on me way too often on the actual cart. i just have it put away and use the rom now. plus i’m less likely to bang it up again…
