I would have guessed Red Alarm, but it’s already listed….going by what’s left of the (faded) sticker it’s definitely a US release though.

Wikipedia says:

Gunpei Yokoi, also spelled Gumpei Yokoi (横井 軍平 Yokoi Gunpei).

I guess either is fine?

Hmm…I haven’t heard of that problem before.

Have you tried the VB in a different position to see if the problem changes? As in, try it horizontal, vertical (ie, screens facing the floor), upside down, and so on. While this won’t solve the problem, it might help troubleshoot it.

Also, are you running it off batteries or is it plugged in to the wall? If using batteries, have you tried new/fresh ones? (might it be a power-related issue?)

In terms of the content of the cart (i.e. the rom), their both exactly the same though, no? (ie. demo rom is the same as the commercial one?)

Awesome! They would have fooled me…

It’s the real deal by the firm who does all hardware debuggers for BigN.

Really? I assume they’re the same ones that have done a bunch of games for Nintendo platforms as well? (ie Galactic Pinball for VB).

In other words…these guys:

I’m surprised there’s no mention of hardware debuggers on the Wikipedia page…someone should update that! 🙂

I’d like to recommend adding an explanatory txt file so that people who get the ROM without reading the thread know what the differences are between the versions.

Ha! Well, I definitely missed that! 🙂

In any case, if possible, I’d try to have the scan of the entire page in addition to the cover of the catalog where it appeared. Helps give a little bit of context.

I really, really, hope it’s not a gimmicky 3D…

It’s totally possible!

See here for an example:

Vectrex 3D Imager is actually pretty cool though I’ve always thought the spinning color wheel (close to your face) was kind of scary. 🙂

Rad Racer worked with the glasses? I thought it only did anaglyph 3d glasses. I think “JJ” was the one for the glasses?

Has anyone tried the Famicom 3D glasses? (japan only, I believe)

Man, you guys all win… I currently own:

For a few reasons…

The form in the profile page says “From” which I read as “Where are you from?” (rather than “Where are you currently located?”). I’m from Chile.

Also, and more importanly for me, it’s an identity issue. I would prefer that people, when they see my posts, identify me as Chilean rather than American. I only happen to live in the US at the moment, but my cultural identity is Chilean. 🙂

No, I’m from Chile (born and raised), but I’ve been living in the US for a few years now.

I don’t mind shipping stuff out for people not in the US as long as it’s nothing illegal, you let me know before hand, and you pay the costs.

I would recommend having donor badges by year. That might encourage people to keep on donating…

I would suggest setting up your dev environment first and checking to see if you can compile the examples. So far this has proven to be one of my biggest headaches!

The documentation on the wiki is quite good, but for some reason the steps didn’t all work for me, so proceed with caution! 🙂
