Looks nice, I’d love to have one, but I personally find even half that BIN an insane price when TV out kits are already possible.
I meant to say – that other Intelligent Systems 3D or multiscreen capture kits indeed have that option for side by side screens, with various dipswitch settings and accompanying PC software, so I’d like to think that this does also.
I hate these skanky magnets, they completely spam up all the listings and I generally have to search
“______ -magnet -shirt -mug” and things like that to get around them, there are magnets for everything…
That wouldn’t be considered new and unused – if the serial numbers don’t match it means someone put a Like New box with a Like New Gameboy.
Some people want things sealed, which the US Gameboys were originally (JP were not), so while it should surely be worth the price you paid, I don’t think you’ll get $300 for it sadly.
I wouldn’t recommend resealing it – they’re easy to spot and it’ll lead to distrust and refunds.
I sent him a note about other gaming systems, but yeah I think some prices are approaching double what they should be – especially for GumTree (basically CraigsList and all it’s risks).
– One small tidbit worth mentioning that I didn’t see called out so far – the game is totally playable, in fact i think it’s already mostly in English bar the title screen. I assume this boxed repro is using this translation: http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1101/

Here’s the thing – I get why a CIB release is not part and why it is not offered – all sorts of advantages to that.
However, you’re missing out in the ‘no-brainer’ impulse factor that having a CIB in there would bring.
More people would back it because it is almost no risk, you’ll have lots of resellers wanting in of course if you do (which has both pros and cons I should note).
I would support with $100 without a CIB, but at least double that if there was a CIB, but it would need to be a genuine target (albeit not a certified promise) from the start.
If you know that your captive audience is relatively low in numbers, then you need to receive as much investment as possible form each individual, and a CIB target release (at least a soft-promise) is the most direct way to go.

I wish more people realised that sticking something in a case with a sticker doesn’t increase the value 1000%
That’s right in terms of asking prices for VGA-graded items, but it’s also right in that it’s stupidly overpriced – because all VGA-graded items are stupidly overpriced.
You could get a brand new stock unplayed JP VB on eBay easily for 20% of that cost.
Well, it’s not a Nintendo console at heart – it IS a Nintendo console, however over the years it’s always been the ugly child, always hidden at the back as a reminder of fragility.
So that’s what it means, it signals that the company are being a bit more accepting of the VB, on a system where the pros (and cons) are more obvious and relative.
Given the question has been asked about VB games on the Virtual Console before – this will be seen as a hint, and therefore Nintendo knowing this (and still including it) is a positive sign, albeit a small one.
So, I was never suggesting it shouldn’t be included – only that it is interesting that it’s included.
