I’m sorry I got confused by what you wrote. You asked about who made what exactly? Are you talking about the VB mod that allows it to connect to their projector? He says in the site post that it was done by Furrtek in France.

If you were referring to the link cable, we already have some documented projects on this site for working link cables.

That is cool that they are are doing that. I just wish they spent a few minutes Googling the names of those involved with the mentioned projects (but that just might be the journalist typing).

I would like a second eyeshade (not the plastic mount, just the shade). I’m tempted to buy a replacement stand, but mine is doing well so far. If they were made available I would probably end up buying one just to have it.

Hyperkin has replacement stands now. Anyone own a business who might be able to get verified quickly? It would be really nice to have the eyeshade and stand replacements available here.

what the buttons or d-pads do change depending on the game you are playing. you can’t just map one generic set (like A/B on NES) and have it work for all software. you may find specific controller information inside the game manuals. you can find scans of the manuals under the “games” tab.

From what I recall there are a couple of libraries. libDragon comes to mind. I found this on the NeoFlash site: https://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php?topic=5959.0 | https://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php?topic=5962.0

libDragon: https://github.com/DragonMinded/libdragon

Hope that helps.

If for some reason you are unable to sell them as a set, there are 2 I’m really interested in. Keep me in mind if that happens. 🙂

Hey bigmak,
Are you looking to sell these as a set or would you piece them out?

Ummm…why should they do that?

So that the 5-10 people here who want it won’t have to go through a 3rd party who may or may not up the price, example is that auction link. Also to avoid possible expensive shipping costs. Also to have them on hand now and in the future.

Is anyone on here a Hyperkin retailer? It would be nice if say 50 of these sets were made available to this forum.

That is the first thing I thought when I got mine, but lack the knowledge and time to begin such a project. If you ever do anything with it, please post pictures.

That definitely looks like a VB display. I wonder if it would be possible to track down who used that on set and get confirmation. Cool find!

I never tried a converter for NES, but Famicom carts worked just fine.

Is it a Super Joy III? I have one myself.

The attached pic is of my FB+ and the end of the USB cable I flash it with. I’m almost positive my FB is the same.

Oddly, most of those I have talked to have found that the shorter the cable the better the results. It does use a standard mini-to-normal USB cable. Your best bet would be to PM Richard directly, as none of us can speak for him.

You can get a converter out of certain Gyromite carts. http://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/23

As for that bootleg, I would contact Cah4e3. He’s full of fami cart bootleg knowledge. http://cah4e3.shedevr.org.ru/dumping_2012.php

Cool find.

that is very cool. i love that 2nd image with the artist rendition. thanks for sharing!

you should take a look at the wario ware games for GBA/DS (etc). they are mini-game collections that may just inspire you in a positive way.

The source article is just as bad. It quotes some random Reddit user as if they were a factual source of information.
