A NES emulator would be cool but personally I’d much prefer a stereoscopic port of Starfox or the SNES version of Doom. That would make my year 😀

I own the following:

Sinclair ZX Spectrum
NES
Sega Master System
Nintendo Gameboy
Sega Megadrive
SNES
Game Gear (x2)
Sega Saturn
Virtual Boy
Sony Playstation
Nintendo 64
Sega Dreamcast
Playstation 2
GameCube
Xbox
DS
PSP
Xbox 360
Nintendo Wii
PS3

Personally, I’ve been playing nothing but Wii for the past few months. It really has some decent hardcore games. In August, I had Trauma Centre: Second opinion. I’ve never played the DS version so it was a completely new experience for me. After that, I had Metroid Prime 3 which was simply amazing. I loved exploring all the different planets… and now I have super mario galaxy which is by far my game of the year. The good thing about Wii is it has a lot of good games, but they’re not all FPSses like on the 360 and PS3. Wii is definately the console for niche genres this gen.

Hey guys,
Just thought I’d let you know that I’m selling Nester’s Funky Bowling. Check it out if you’re interested 🙂

I second that emotion!

Thqnk you sir, but unfortunately I don’t live in america 🙁

I first saw the VB when I was 9 years old on a british game show called Bad Influence. They were playing Teleroboxer and I was amazed at how futuristic it looked and immediately wanted one, but Nintendo didn’t bring it out over here so I eventually forgot about it. Then in 2005 I was bored and decided to look up crap on ebay, and eventually typed in virtual boy. It was literally the happiest day of my life when it came in the mail 😀

Cool, that’s good to know 🙂 I guess I’ll put it on ebay tomorrow then. It took me ages to find this game as well 🙁 *sigh* Oh well, at least I still have space squash and 3D Tetris 😀

I sort of have the same thing. I don’t really play VB every day, but when I am into it, its like ALL I do heh. As for Saturn emulation, I have my own Saturn with Nights, Christmas Nights and Shinobi X 😀 It would be nice to play Panzer Dragon though…

There’s no low battery warning and I’ve not done anything to my VB apart from making a head strap. There isn’t a way to accidentally damage the port the controller goes into is there? I remember once my friend picked up the VB with the controller dangling. Maybe that damaged it in some way? I hope not. I’d be seriously crushed if this was the beginning of the end of my VB 🙁

That’s completely normal. Much like the gameboy, the vb won’t display anything until you put a game into the system. The noise you hear is probably the hum of the motor so it seems like you’ve got a perfectly good vb 🙂

A 3D port of Starfox would be amazing 🙂 I know it’d be a very hard thing to do though. I’d love to see Doom on the VB as well. I can imagine it being an immersive and scary experience on the VB when playing it in the dark at like 4am :p

It would be quite interesting to see what is inside it. Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t KRI55E have a VB dev kit? Isn’t that not what the VUE Debugger is? I hoped that aquiring this would aid VB development in some way…

It’s not a bad price. I paid 30 Euro’s for my space squash but I dont think the guy knew what he was doing heh. 60 is worth it though because it is such a good game 🙂

And mine:
Wario Land
Space Squah
Vertical Force
Jack Bros
Red Alarm

I too would like to know where he got it. He managed to get hold of Galactic Pinball prototype last year. A rom dump would be great. I wish we knew a cheap and easy way to make vb carts. Actually playing it on a vb would be amazing. Oh well. I could settle for some gameplay vids 🙂

Wow this is amazing! Out of all the unreleased vb games bound high always interested me the most. I am quite curious to know how you got hold of it though XD heh

I agree with you, Nintendo shouldn’t care. But when it boils down to it the vb is still their system and the games still belong to them. The law won’t see it our way.
As for the flash cart, I don’t think dogp has made them in large quantities yet. I’m not entirely sure how he puts the games on there. I’d imagine its probably via the debugger or the vb’s link port.

Dogp has successfully made a flash cart for homebrew games. They could also be used to put existing games on there, but that’s illegal.
Unfortunately, I’ve never come across a copy of any of the unreleased vb games. I very much doubt they exist today.

omg KRI55E, thank you SO much for the bad influence stuff. That show is where I first heard of the bvb when I was 9 years old. Never thought I’d see it again!
