hi there,
Since its been pretty much dead in here lately, ebay is probably your best bet.
V tetris is really common. You shouldn’t have a problem finding it. The other two are rare, but not impossible to find. I found both eventually 🙂 with the battery pack, your Best off trying to find an AC tap, which basically means running your vb off external power.
Good luck!:)

Hey,
how much would you sell insmouse for?

Your Band is pretty good, KRI55E 🙂 I love Auf der Suche. Is it you who does the brutal screaming in the chorus?XD

It WILL happen *slap* :p do you know of a site I could learn programming from? I’m willing to learn 🙂

I can only remember one right now. He’s called ringman and he wanted to develop Kri55E’s silent hill idea.
As I have mentioned before, I’d be more than willing to compose music for any homebrewn vb games. I excel at atmospheric kinda stuff. Do you know how to put music on the carts? I’ve noticed that none of the current emulators have proper sound support…

I for one would be interested in that. Would there ever be a chance of making full length homebrewn games? Over the past few months we have seen 2 experienced developers express interest in such a project. Could this be achieved, or is it something to aim for in the next few years?

Hmmmm…. Well I’d personally be willing to buy some virtual league baseball carts and donate them to this little project 🙂
I’d really like to get this thing off the ground. We have two experienced game makers expressing interest in making homebrew vb games so this is an ideal opportunity for us. I’m willing to help in any way I can. If we need more people to learn programming I’d be more than willing to do that.

I second that emotion 🙂

I have no idea about the technical stuff I’m afraid, but I’d like to offer my help on the musical side of things. If you need someone to make music for your game in the future, then please ask 🙂
It certainly is encouraging to see experienced people like yourself interested in the vb!:)

I think the VB would have the following it has regardless of how successful it was. We love it because of the genius behind it, and the fact it is so unloved. If it was successful, then other companies would’ve got into the virtual reality market, and maybe it would’ve been really huge. Even then, the VB would have been remembered as the console that started it all (like the NES is today).

If you do an image search you should be able to find a picture.
theres two magnifying glasses at the top which you look through. the psps screen is split into two: one half for each eye.
the vb worked by displaying 2 slightly different images into each eye. When your brain puts them together, the images appear to be 3d.
With the psp the images are the same in each eye, so it doesn’t create a good 3d effect.
As for making a device like that, I have no idea. Sorry

Heh. I was too lazy to do noise reduction on mine XD It sounds useable though. It’d be cool to do some VB music remixes or something. I’m trying to work out the Vertical Force theme on guitar. I want to work out the first level music too. It’s great 🙂

Hey.
I have a pretty good sound card (SB Audigy something or other) so I tried getting music of the VB by using the headphone socket as a line-out. There is a bit of distortion, but it’s not that bad. Anyway, here’s music from Mario Clash:

If you want me to record some Wario Land stuff like you originally wanted, then I can do that for you 🙂

Hey I just thought of something. Can’t you use the vb’s headphone socket as a line-out and plug it in to your line-in on your pc’s soundcard? Sorry if you’ve thought of this before…

That would be cool, but I doubt it would happen. Surely it would be more feasible to re-make the vb and get it out there that way XD virtual reality should hit the mainstream in the next few years anyway

It has grown on me too. I obessively watched gamespot’s e3 coverage, and I have to say I have never been this excited about a console XD it looks so immersive. I hope I can play it using my head-mounted display. That’d ruuuuule

Red Alarm is fun for a while, but the vector graphics confuse my eyes and I end up getting lost ^_^ Vertical Force is probably my favourite VB game. I Still can’t do the skull boss =)

David Tucker knows the most about programming the vb. Heres the address for the site:
http://www.goliathindustries.com/vb/ hope this helps 🙂

I’m sure I can help with the music. I can make up some tense and psychadelic stuff when I want to. This has got me excited XD

Hey and welcome 🙂 its great to see someone as enthusiastic and experienced as you have an interest in the vb.
I can’t make games or anything, but I would be willing to have a go at making music for that faceball idea you have.
