Heh, the thought had occurred to me, but then I remembered that I’m as clumsy as hell and can never make anything XD

It is sad that the VB dev scene is dying. I thought Kr155E’s Silent Hill idea looked really good.
I have tried to learn some programming skills, but unfortunately my brain just can’t do it. I can’t draw either, but what I can do is make music for any VB games in development. I’d be happy to help anyone =)

It’s too hard to choose. I find that the memories you have of the games are always more important than the games themselves. In that case, my favourite is probably Twisted Metal 2: World Tour on the PSX. Me and my friends have been playing it for 10 years now and we still play it regularly =) Though I do love Donkey Kong Country as well ^_^ Mmmm SuperFX…

I saw Space Invaders sell for £175 on ebay so it’s definately going down in price. I managed to get space squash for $40 because some guy on ebay didn’t know what he was doing 😉 Amazing game.

The first thing I heard of the virtual boy was on a game show called bad influence in 1995. I was 9 at the time, but I still remember it vividly. They said Nintendo had a virtual reality console coming out, and they showed us teleroboxer and the guy was like “woah, it’s like the fist is coming right at me!” heh.

Dogp, do you have an Insomouse No Yakata to sell? If so, how much would you sell it for?

The virtual boy doesn’t consume as much batteries as you might think. I play mine pretty much every day and I only change the batteries once a month which is better than say, the game gear; which can only last 6 hours tops 😉

Thanks a lot for your help. I’ll start on this in the new year because I have no money at the moment. Oh, and one more question. Realistically, whats the best graphics the VB is capable of? I only ask because the game I have in mind is going to have quite a lot of first-person stuff, and I don’t want it to look like Insomouse No Yakata =P

I’m not familiar with mod, but midi should be pretty easy. I know wav is a possibility, but I’m assuming that it’ll take up a lot of space on the cart 😉 Anyway, if anyone does want me to make music, then email me and tell me what sort of atmosphere you want the music to create and I’ll do my best =)

If anyone requires music to be made for VB games I could probably manage it 🙂 Just give me details of what format you need them in and stuff and I’ll see what I can do =D

I meant that its the only true 3d system. the VB was specifically designed to play 3d games. Thats what I meant. I’ve looked into the PSP goggle things.. Apparently they’ll only be used during cutscenes and stuff so I guess its not that bad =/

I agree with you, pocket. I just wish it was Nintendo doing it instead of Sony. Nobody appreciates the virtual boy and it seems like Sony are gonna take all the credit for what nintendo started.

You can turn the difficulty down/up? When I play it, there’s no menu. It just goes straight into the game =/
