I played Galactic Pinball for the first time today. It’s not my usual kind of game but I’m loving it! So many cool, hidden features especially the bonus round where you fly underneath the table and have to shoot down enemies!

It was also interesting to find out that Gunpei Yokoi managed the development of the game. Planning to load the prototype Space Pinball onto my Flashboy+ soon to see how it came about.

Just played through again and noticed that a few of the Normal password cheats listed on Planet VB for Bound High! are incorrect. Would someone mind changing them when possible please? Here’s the correct ones:

Level 4-1: GBK (not BGK)
Level 4-7: N5G
Final Boss: Q5K

If anyone has the same problem as me in the future with Bound High! it might be an issue with your VB’s mainboard. See http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=6050&forum=1 as potential solutions are currently being discussed.

Haha, thanks RunnerPack! I’ve sent TheForce81 a PM to see if he can do a permanent fix on my VB. As you said, worth doing now rather than waiting until the display fails!

Many thanks RunnerPack – I’ve checked and I definitely have that ROM. It’s really odd as every other game works fine with no problems whatsoever. Surely it can’t be an issue with the display if it’s only happening with one game?

Similar to many other people I’d be willing to throw in around $100 depending on the type of game. From what I’ve seen in my limited time with the VB there are quite a few genres not covered by the system and it’d be great to see things like Metroidvania / Mega Man style games, driving games, RPGs, etc, to show what the VB is really capable of.
