I think you’ll enjoy reading through this – congrats on the find.

Thrift stores should really do a quick google on the things they pick up – they always miss little grails like this.

Thank you for the link. Nintendo certainly made a bunch of interesting toys and electronics before the Famicom/NES. I recognize games like Sheriff, Chiritori, and the Ultra Machine from their appearance in Wario Ware.

I don’t know if this helps, but my North American SNES/VB AC adapter says:

AC ADAPTER
-MODEL NO. SNS-002
-INPUT AC120V 60Hz 17W
-OUTPUT DC10V 850mA
-CLASS 2 POWER SUPPLY FOR USE WITH SUPER NES AND VIRTUAL BOY ONLY

Happy 20th VB! I remember learning about the console from either the AVGN or when reading one of my sister’s old Nintendo Power magazines when I was little. Although a little bit of a pain, it’s still a fun console to play and it stinks that it was canned so quickly since some of the cancelled games like Dragon Hopper and Mario Land VB looked fun.

I need to get some more games for my Virtual Boy since I still only have the initial 7 games I got with it two years ago.

Looks cool.

Thank you everyone for the Happy Birthday wishes!

What is the quality of the t-shirt like? How close was the size you ordered to the actual t-shirt size you wear?

I washed the shirt inside out in cold water and am letting it air dry rather than putting it in the dryer and the shirt still looks great and feels soft. The size was about the same as my t-shirt size, maybe a tiny bit smaller.

Happy 2015 guys!

Gaming things I got.

Linkums finished playing the 22 Virtual Boy games and ranked them from least to most favorite along with his thoughts on each game.

I purchased Gumshoe and Gologo II: The Mafat Conspiracy on the NES and Final Fantasy IX and The Legend of the Dragoon on the PS1. Dragoon is missing disc 4 though. I was able to get a great deal on the PS1 games and got Mafat for free thanks to a coupon.

Awesome

I have a bunch of memories playing the Nintendo 64 and PS1 with my older sisters. Voted for the N64 though since we always played Smash Bros.

My favorite console though is the PlayStation 2.

Played Rockman World 4 with the palette. Didn’t look too bad, but I prefer normal Game Boy greyscale.

Cool that he’s doing this. Followed him on twitter.

Windjammers on the NGCD looks like a really fun head-to-head game. It’s sort of like Pong, but far more exciting and has special throwing moves characters can perform during the game to curve, accelerate, and set the Frisbee on fire.

I don’t own a Neo Geo or the CD add-on, but if I did, Windjammers would be one of the first games I’d get.

Cool!
