If someone was going to buy a Flashboy would they have to mail any donor carts to you first?

No.

I’m pretty well stocked up on donors at the moment (due to the Bound High project).

Do you print the labels?

I do, yes. They look OK, I have the corners rounded too.

OK, I’m back building Bound High carts again.

I need 3 donors per cart this time.

Thanks

Is the Flashboy + still being produced?

Yes, Email me if you want one

Are the ROMs available here on this site?

Yes (you need to register to get access)

I suppose that if he’s okay with this, then it is okay

I’m fine with that, he’s not making out it’s a ‘one of a kind super rare thing’. If folk google they will find that I’m still making them.

I would be annoyed if a BoundHigh did turn up though as I’m not making any money off those.

FYI I did get back to Chris. Been having computer trouble, and since upgrading to IE8, this site has been so slow it’s barely been useable.

At the moment I have some carts left, so you won’t have to send me a donor first. I did ruin quite a few trying to get my engraving machine to do the USB cut-out.

When I do completely run out I’ll start making Bound High carts again. I’m sure there’s more people who still want one.

Thanks

providing a link cable that wasn’t homebrew

No, Pat’s having the link cable professionally made.

BTW there’s nothing wrong with homebrew 😛

Probably it is equal to a used one Ebay !!!

Well, seeing as the one Chris EBayed achieved over $400. That’d be a no then.

Yes, the connector problem is a pain. Unless someone finds a whole box of them somewhere, there’s no other real soloution.

BTW if anyone is interested, I can also build repro’s of any VB cart (even battery SRAM one’s).

I hope one day someone can produce homebrew PCBs with the pin-out (pin-in) intact.

Not sure what you mean ?

did you put anything inside the BH carts

No, but like adler says, the PCB is bright red and looks nothing like the VB boards.

If the BH proto ever did turn up, I would imagine it would be on of those long EPROM carts.

everyone knows what could happen in the future

I think people on here are pretty decent.

BTW I’d love to make some Dragon Hopper carts too 😉

What was the final count, how many of these were actually made up to this point?

34

The sticker isn’t as nice

The BH label file wasn’t very high res.

Still making these?

Not at the moment as I have enough carts now to keep me going for a while (about 50).

That is correct, I have a small batch of cases right now. So if you want a FlashBoy+ you will not have to send me a donor cart.

Coleson is sending me the labels he made. May take a week or so as he’s in the US (I’m in UK).

Just a reminder, please make sure to include your details with the carts. I’m getting so many, I don’t want to send the wrong stuff to people.

Thanks

MineStorm, is this whole thing a sort of limited time offer

As of now I am not taking any more orders. I don’t have the time or materials to make more.

Thankyou

Check out Coleson’s pro labels

OK, I’m going to go with Dani’s edit of Pat’s label.

BTW I’m close to the 30 orders already 😯

You’re right about me using FlashBoy PCB’s. I’ll be using them with just the FLASH memory soldered on (and a capacitor).

This is what the Bound High boards look like. I program the code onto the FLASH chip (using a commercial programmer) before I solder it in.
