First of all, the case of this thing is epic, are these 3D printed?

I’m glad you like the case. Yes, it was printed on my MakerBot Replicator 2.

Before, I was hacking original cases. Printing saves me a lot of work because I can drop the PCB straight in.

since the serial protocol is essentially SPI…

SEEPROM memory card for game saves ?

With the present board design, you can go anything up to 16Mbit.

I’ve made carts for a few of the homebrew developers. I don’t charge any thing, just send me the donor cart and I’ll do the rest.

Are there Any plans to make a cart of this game?

I’m definitely up for it.

I’m just finishing 50 x English Space Squash, then this could be the next cart (unless Tusk want’s something else first).

WOW !!

I imagine the final version will be > 16MBit ?

Its already standing on 305$

I think he is being purposely vague.

It reads as if there was an official English release.

You should PM minestorm — he’ll repair it for you.

I asked him a while back to send it back to me. I’ve not received it yet.

Thanks for the picture. This is great.

And thanks for the work you did on the game.

That box is a thing of beauty

I hope one day it’s a box full of Dragon Hopper repro’s 🙂

looking forward to your upcoming releases!

I build the boards BTW.

Right now I have 100 x FaceBall re-mastered ready to send Eric.

After that, I’m going to build some English translated Space Squash boards (Ben sent me the final patched ROM yesterday).

Then, I’m going to need a rest from making repros for a while (to catch up on other stuff I make).

Nice – thankyou !!

I need just the cart connector. Can you separate out the PCB and just sell me that ?

Lame, guess I won’t be getting one of these for a while =P

When I’ve done the 100 FaceBall remastered carts, I’ll be back building them. Should take me about a month.

I’m pretty sure that’s it. Have to confirm with Eric.

We are making a lot of Remastered, so that will take me quite a while.

So you’ll have plenty of time, and even longer to do the Space Squash manual.

BTW I had a proper go at Remastered last night. Wow, what a different game it is now 🙂

Yes, he printed the same model that we’re still working on perfecting.

Actually turned out a lot better than I was expecting. The locking tabs were a bit weak, but printing the model on it’s side should cure that (tab layers running vertical).

BTW do you think there’s enough demand to have the plugs professionally moulded ?

Making them on my 3D printer would be very cheap.

No problem, glad it got to you OK.

I won’t be making more FlashBoy’s for a while as I’ve got a lot of repro’s to build.

You need to use a ICL7673 not the chip from the cart.

BTW the pad on the PCB is the – of the battery

Pat, what’s the fix for a constantly shrinking / expanding image in one display ?

what specific Battery size does Gundam take?

CR1225

It is in a holder, but it shouldn’t need changing for a few years I would think.

Ben, thanks for the referrals.

I will continue to make small batches of the carts as long as folk still want them. I built a few this week while I was waiting for Eric’s connectors to get here (arrived today).
