How might I go about acquiring a FlashBoy+ ?
In the midst of getting my VB’s eye-glue repaired and I’m curious if this is still going on or all wrapped up?
Thank you!
BADASS.
I’ll be firing up my VB emu on the ol’ Wii on the big-screen with the lights off & a glass of scotch tonight!
This had me going for about 30 seconds until I realized it was 4/1. DANGIT, DANGIT, DANGIT!
I received my Bound High last week as well, and WOAH – It’s QUITE NICE!
And fun to play!
Thanks for making this happen!
The only emulation that I do is the Virtual Boy emulator for Wii; the Classic Controller works amazingly well.
Mine is: VN103248880 (US)
Awesome. Ordered. Thank you!
Any update on placing orders for a CIB Bound High today? 🙂
Not trying to harass, just don’t wanna miss out.
Thank you so much for your effort on this, man. I could love to toss my name into the hat for a cartridge wherever possible and I’ll surely donate to help you out as well.

Yeah… it’s too bad that there isn’t a proper place to store video game cartridges in the case, but it makes sense that there wouldn’t be, since these were only intended to hold rental units that had to be returned to the store and weren’t intended to be sold.I would store the games in one or both of the two red-circled areas in the attached pic.
That’s precisely how I do it too.
Thanks for letting us know, will certainly place an order through your site on 1/20!
Yeah! The case is nice, isn’t it? I got one off eBay back around 2003 for a song.
I have 11 games, and I can comfortably fit them in there (just cartridges & instructions – of course) without a problem. I usually have them nestled in amongst the stand near the piece with the medallion on it.
The sticker on my case is just a tiny bit mucked up, but it’s still great. I’m still kicking myself for ditching my system box and game boxes back in ’95 before I was really a collector.
Enjoy it, but don’t let it convince you to keep your VB hidden away in a box! I keep mine on top of my wet bar 🙂
I think that earlier in the thread that you stated to check your site on the 20th or thereabouts (of Jan) for an update that would include new purchase details for Bound High… is that still the case? I really really don’t want to miss out on getting one of these.
Thanks a lot!

Signs! Beat it on Normal back in ’95; just started the “2nd Quest” this week.
It’s clear that this was an important game in Nintendo’s eyes (pun intended) b/c the production values are pretty high for any VB game. I was always amused at how many names this game had pre-release; Wario Cruise was my favorite.
Also, for those who really can’t get enough – if you have not played Mutant Mudds for 3DS (I think it’s on Wii U too), that game took a TON of influence from VB Wario so far as the jumping back and forth from different plains goes. There’s even a few Virtual-Boy-Red levels.

… as well as the whole digital package (original version, remixed version, whatever else) on a single VB cart.I have no idea if this is technically possible. It is not like you can simply flash two VirtualBoy games on one card. I have never seen someone else doing this. If you know how to do something like this please share your knowledge.
Otherwise lets just wait for what the remastered edition turns out to be and then decide which versions sells how.
Sean Bean: ‘One does not simply flash 2 vb roms onto a single cart!’ 🙂
LOL; no, I do not know a method by which this would be done I was speaking from a vb layman’s pov. The unasked question that I was suggesting was that since (whomever it was, the super smart guy) figured out how to mess with the original rom in order to create the “remastered” version it stood as a possibility that they could somehow be merged in a single rom wrapper before being flashed? I know absolutely zero about the vb from a tech pov that would apply to how this would be done, so I’m assuming now that it simply can’t unless there’s a new cart developed that functions more like a GBA flash card (mult rom files), but I know the vb scene has leaned away from anything like that to date. Was just thinking out loud.
Regardless, I’ll stay tuned. Very interested in this.
Why not consider the option of there simply being a single release version of Nikochan/Faceball which would include all of the nifty carbon based goodies (box, instructions, anything else) as well as the whole digital package (original version, remixed version, whatever else) on a single VB cart. Sell that for $150 and eliminate the confusion of the multiple versions as well as anyone making the mistake of buying the wrong version or missing out on the version that they wanted.
To fulfill on the apparent need for a limited/special edition – maybe simply individually-number the first 30 copies made or maybe give those first 30 a super neat shiny label representing the “special batch.”
I think what I am getting at is that the idea of different carbon-based goodies is neat (a special box, label, etc.) But I think that the special edition having exclusive digital content and the “regular version” having a different set of digital content is only going to confuse us. People will spend more time thinking about which one to buy rather than just pulling the trigger and buying it.

It’s a worthy purchase because its that fun! It was always a shame it wasn’t officially released.
Another reason that I will absolutely purchase one! I can’t wait. So glad to have revived my VB!
I too am very, very interested in purchasing a Bound High repro. If there’s any info re: availability in the future I would LOVE to know.
Thanks!
