Hi jojobean,

Well, 6 months isn’t so much. I have to wait 12 months to get my N95 8GB unlocked from Vodafone 😛 Nonetheless, there are several ROM sites which have VB ROMs. Just google a bit ;-P

Fleshboy?!??! LOL, that would be great! I’ve got many flesh hanging from my tummy XD (just joking)

Hi Billy, I believe the Blox game images you saw are the ones I made. This summer I had some free time, and dedicated it to get “commercial blox” made. I made the box and the instruction manual for myself, and got a lot of help from the “Virtual Boy gurus” to get the cartridge made. Unfortunately it is not available for sale, sorry. Also, now that Flash Boy is available, I don’t think anyone would buy a Blox cart, having the possibility of buying a Flash Boy (although I think the final result of the “commercial blox” is cool 😀 )

I agree with Robert Molander 😛

There are some games which have the C source available. Check Doom, for example. ID made the source code available. As DogP says, “just find the C source code, take out the system specific things and adapt it to run on the VB”. OF course, you need to know how to do it and it’s VERY time consuming…

What would be the use of playing NES ROMs on a Virtual boy? I’d rather have game ports to the VB than emulators of other systems.

But we can also stay with English (which I prefer :-D).

Thanks a lot Feel. You did a great job with the translation and the ROM plays excellently with FlashBoy 😀

EDIT: Space Squash has a lot of text translated, only the main paragraph which appears prior to playing is in Japanese. What does it say? Thanks.

LOL, we’re talking about my collection. Bruno says he saw my collection at a Spanish forum and that I should buy a Japanese Virtual Boy to complete it, and I reply him that I’ll buy one if I ever find it at an affordable price 😀 Btw, I’ve tested my Flash Boy and it works perfectly. I thought Space Squash would have more text translated, though… it’s a pitty, I’d really like to know what’s the story about.

¡Bienvenido! 😀

What I understand is that the bug makes that the “left” direction seems as if it was pressed even though nobody is pressing the button. i.e.: Wario always moves to the left without pressing any button… But anyway, written expression is a must in forums 😛

You are forgetting Richard H., who was the person that developed the circuitry of the FlashBoy. I think he also deserves a HUGE thank you.

Lovely, I’ve just flashed it with Space Squash English patched and it has flashed correctly. Now I need time to get my Virtual Boy together and test it, but everything seems OK 😀

Ahhhh, just have it in my hands. #003… Sooooooooooo cool! 😀 Thanks!!!! I wanna play Space Squash with the English translation patch. I’ll try to play it next weekend. Lovely! Thanks! Btw, it’s the fastest parcel I’ve received in many, many years. Sent Friday morning, arrived Monday evening… Lovely!

Mine has arrived today. I’m eager to go grab it this evening… after work!!!! Arggggh.

KR155E, Are you jocking? It has really sold out so quickly!?!??!?! I thought you would have some spare, mainly because not too many of us posted the “I’ve bought one” message. I believe many people just ordered them without posting a message…

Well, the games I’ve checked now have a “22” or a “09” stamped on them. Most have “22”, and just two or three have “09”. It doesn’t depend on the rarity of the game nor on the country. E.g. My Virtual Bowling (JAP) has a “22” stamped on it, as well as my Wario Land (US). I am not able of dumping the games, so I cannot help with that. I hope this is of some use.

Yes, he goes to garage sales just to search for Virtual Boy prototypes…
