On Youtube Iv’e actually seen a demo for Links Awakening for the VB is it a hoax or is someone working on it?

Yep, just a joke. Someone changed the palette on a gameboy emulator and voilà.

Another one, also Maria Holic. Note also the Dreamcast, Pocketstation, Power Glove and some VCR-looking console.

Here’s one, from Maria Holic. No game console allowed in the dorm, except… guess what? =D

That would be the same as my favorite game of all time: Super Mario Bros 3.

Mario Clash:

I will return soon with review Mario Clash!

Galactic Pinball review:

I didn’t think I was going to get anything done this week, but I was wrong 🙂

Jack Bros:

(and if you missed it, watch the Bound High review:

Bound High! Review (!)

Enjoy the best Bound High review in the world. Well it’s best by default since (I don’t think) there are any video review on Bound High out there, so I win by default 😉

I also put in a few references to PVB and the Flashboy in there, not (just) to be pandering ( 😛 ) but because it’s relevant. Were it not for those, I/we would never have been able to enjoy this game.

Also, as we all know, the internal flash has a limited number of writes.

What? So, the flashboy(original, not plus for me) will stop working after I’ve changed games once too much?? Thats…. really scary.

The Bound High review will be done either tonight or tomorrow. It’s gonna be a long one, about 8½ minutes… but it’s gonna be good.

Tomorrow I’m going to record footage and voice to 3 more reviews. Bound High is next, but I’m going to take my time because I’m (that I know of) the first guy to video review it and I want to set the bar high. The other 3 are Jack Bros, Mario Clash and Galactic Pinball.

Which of those do you want to see first?

My intended order: Jack Bros – Galactic Pinball – Mario Clash

Thanks, it’s an honor =D.

The jealous little prick in me wants to complain about how a text review is better than a video with all the production that entails, but nah, it’s fine. I’m just happy to be appreciated at all and I really appreciate it. Thank you all!

Finally, I’ve made a new review!

Panic Bomber

Next up, BOUND HIGH!

I’m with Nintendo, but if Sega came back with a new console, that would be really cool. As for the old Dreamcast.. I had one and tried all the big headliners but never found it to have any “killer apps” for me.

I will not be getting one. It’s kind of a pain keeping your head locked in one spot in order to see the 3D effect.

Get it for the good games and switch off the 3D then.

Nathan I have one question that eats at me, do you actually like the Virtual Boy or is it clever sarcasm, where you play it off like Keith likes it but he’s dumb so in reality it means to say that the VB sucks?

I am addicted to that Jack Bros song now.

Me too!

1) Are there any translation projects for VB ROMs that I could patch and use on hardware once the FB+ arrives? I want to play some of the JP only exclusives and sadly I can not read or understand Japanese.

There’s a translation of the intro to Space Squash, that’s about it I think.. but trust me there’s no game with much of a story. I think SD Gundam is the one with the most text but most of it I assume is like “My robots will defeat your robots!” etc.

2) Have all of the known VB retail carts been dumped?
All of the games that was released in stores, yes. But some of the cancelled games that existed in prototype form still haven’t surfaced like Dragon Hopper and Faceball 2000, even though we scored a great win with Bound High, that game rocks.

3) Any other sites for VB homebrew that users could recommend?
I don’t know of any others myself

4) What homebrew projects should I be sure not to miss?
Keep and eye on Castle of Doom and Capitan Sevilla II, two platformers that are looking promising and are still being worked on.

Btw dude, you need to buy Wario Land. It’s mandatory.
