Enjoy the best Bound High review in the world. Well it’s best by default since (I don’t think) there are any video review on Bound High out there, so I win by default 😉
I also put in a few references to PVB and the Flashboy in there, not (just) to be pandering ( 😛 ) but because it’s relevant. Were it not for those, I/we would never have been able to enjoy this game.
Tomorrow I’m going to record footage and voice to 3 more reviews. Bound High is next, but I’m going to take my time because I’m (that I know of) the first guy to video review it and I want to set the bar high. The other 3 are Jack Bros, Mario Clash and Galactic Pinball.
Which of those do you want to see first?
My intended order: Jack Bros – Galactic Pinball – Mario Clash
The jealous little prick in me wants to complain about how a text review is better than a video with all the production that entails, but nah, it’s fine. I’m just happy to be appreciated at all and I really appreciate it. Thank you all!
I’m with Nintendo, but if Sega came back with a new console, that would be really cool. As for the old Dreamcast.. I had one and tried all the big headliners but never found it to have any “killer apps” for me.
Nathan I have one question that eats at me, do you actually like the Virtual Boy or is it clever sarcasm, where you play it off like Keith likes it but he’s dumb so in reality it means to say that the VB sucks?
1) Are there any translation projects for VB ROMs that I could patch and use on hardware once the FB+ arrives? I want to play some of the JP only exclusives and sadly I can not read or understand Japanese.
There’s a translation of the intro to Space Squash, that’s about it I think.. but trust me there’s no game with much of a story. I think SD Gundam is the one with the most text but most of it I assume is like “My robots will defeat your robots!” etc.
2) Have all of the known VB retail carts been dumped?
All of the games that was released in stores, yes. But some of the cancelled games that existed in prototype form still haven’t surfaced like Dragon Hopper and Faceball 2000, even though we scored a great win with Bound High, that game rocks.
3) Any other sites for VB homebrew that users could recommend?
I don’t know of any others myself
4) What homebrew projects should I be sure not to miss?
Keep and eye on Castle of Doom and Capitan Sevilla II, two platformers that are looking promising and are still being worked on.
Btw dude, you need to buy Wario Land. It’s mandatory.
