I tried the game today on a flashboy. It worked fine.
I thought it was good, but not great. Two things bothered me, first the quality of the music. Then that there’s almost no “feedback” to when you push the right buttons. I guess there is the score going up, but I would greatly have preferred the symbols lighting up as you press them or something.
I’m finally back with another Virtual Boy review! This time I compare the 2 Tetris games, which are rather different from each other. 3D Tetris and V-Tetris. Excuse the somewhat poorer quality video, my new camera is older than the other one, and my Virtual Boy has gotten that red-line glitch periodically on both eyes =/
I like these games, especially Shadowgate, then Uninvited. Deja Vu is good also but I like the eerieness of the aforementioned. Deja Vu II is an improvement on the first one also. I kind of see Insmouse no Yakata on virtual boy as being a little bit similar to Uninvited. Maybe its just the mansion setting…
Sorry to go off-topic here, but if you know japanese, or just know a better way to handle google translate than I do, can you help me with the intro to SD Gundam?
Next: Vertical Force
Probably will be done tomorrow, or the day after that. I have a camera now and access to a good mic at work so I’ll be able to crank reviews out faster now. And I followed whoever’s advice and recorded the sound separately, so now the music and sound is nice and crisp.
Hah, thats cool. But I also think the idea probably evolved from Robot Wars, or, they just said “hey what if we cross rock em sock em robots with a family flick about a deadbeat dad trying to connect with his son? can we get Hugh Jackman in it? He played Wolverine so he would be perfect!…
Maybe it’s me who is naive or something but I feel people are alarmist, expect more of Nintendo than other companies and like to come at them whenever they’re in a pinch. Are they holding a grudge from the days where Nintendo ruled with an iron fist(NES era)?
Or, is my fanboyism blinding me? Whatever the case, I still trust Nintendo. It -might- change in the future but for now, not.
