I could be wrong (shocking, I know), but I thought a new one from Richard w/ box and everything was $130 USD? Or perhaps that was the “shipped to Canada” price? Not sure, it’s been a while since I got mine.
Yeah I think ol’ Tusk quite literally means “a few” when he says it. Usually people head right over and snag whatever’s there. Gotta be quick!
In other, lamer news, looks like the scalper/gouger community had already got their hands on Insecticide, which can now be had on eBay for the low low price of $499 :/
Oh wow that’s very cool, I’ve never seen the 6′ VB kiosk with Japanese-language panels before, I thought Japan only had the modest countertop displays. Eek, that price is through the roof though. I imagine shipping to anywhere other than Japan would be a serious issue as well. Either way, extremely cool item!

I own one of these. Not that I’m looking to sell, but do you know what the last one available sold for? I bought mine in like 09. I would assume prices have changed.

It may have not been listed for a while too, I am talking like half a year or longer ago. Pics look the same, so I’m sure it’s the same guy, and the price is the exact same as it was before.
Yes, this is the same seller, a member of NintendoAge that I’ve spoken with privately about the game. He knows absolutely nothing about Virtual Boy protos or collecting and admits as much. His reasoning for this high price was “I don’t know much about the VIrtual Boy, but I know it’s obscure so I priced this proto around the same as one would price a TurboGrafx16 proto”, or something to that effect. So he doesn’t know what he has, and doesn’t know what it is (or isn’t) worth.

Check it out – 2 pages of stuff, including t-shirts, posters, magnets, repro boxes, and even a repro SI manual. Interestingly, the SI manual’s description says “This is the Japanese version. The American translated version is also available.” I’ve written the seller to ask if the translated version looks like the Japanese version, and how to order it.

So all the orders placed so far have shipped. I hope you enjoy them when you get them. I do have some more of these still left if anyone is interested.
Just got my copy of fishing, thanks! Just out of curiosity, how many copies of Virtual Fishing were produced?
Candice, that you? Jordan Vgcollector here :p I guess a good way to get started would be to tell the others what skills you do have? Are you skilled in graphic design, artwork, layout etc??
