I thought this was pretty interesting:
eBay item #263608086487 is a Virtual League Baseball prototype. The guy selling it has no idea if there are any differences between this and the final version.

Street Fighter 2 has been such a culturally significant video game that it literally just got a new release recently on Nintendo Switch as Ultra Street Fighter 2. That’s a big difference then the other games which never went on any other platforms, understand now?
Nope, I dont. You dont need to get upset about it. No reason to give it special treatment either. Copyright is copyright. Gundam is a gigantic property as well (overall) and could do just as much legal harm.
This reminds me of Stadium Events honestly. Seems like some just want it to be a bragging rights trophy.
Ill just leave it alone now though. Clearly we will all just keep going in circles about it.
Yep, hit the nail on the head. People just want it to be some bragging rights trophy and are bent out of shape that now OTHER people have it too. OH NO, boo hoo. I think im going to start selling repros of hyper fighting on ebay the second I have the chance. More people should have the chance to buy it. And btw Gundam came out like 12 years before street fighter 2 even existed, and like you said, nobody seems to care about the repros that have gone around. NEVER have I seen a complaint. And Gundam is something that eclipses street fighter by 10x fold. But this is different, because this was ripping off something else with “love”. People need to get over it. Your copies of hyper fighting aren’t special. The complaining here is ridiculous, go start a different thread already. Everytime I think a new post about some cool vb related auction has been made, its just this nonsense again and again.
