Can you post a picture of the finished cable?

count me in, i need 2 copies. however minestorm already confirmed theyre re-releasing cart-only versions of this, so i seriously doubt theyd give you the rom for repro purposes.

at any rate, i would definitely buy 2 if theyre reasonably priced

Neat! minestorm is the guy who supplied me with the PCBs for this ROM, and I sent him a peek of the new label. Wonder if their is a connection 😛

I was referring to Johnny Phantom.

BTW I’ve seen his new label artwork and it is REALLY nice.

oooh ok lol

oh and if u do make other repros, id love jack bros and waterworld, as theyre the only 2 i dont own, cuz theyre just too overpriced.

thread ressurection.. so now that the link cable is pretty much a reality. It always seemed to me like mario tennis and panic bomber were meant to have a 2 player mode. So is adding that functionality at this point in time still next to impossible? Wouldnt Mr Anon have a pretty good idea of where to start? (seeing as how he got hyper fighting to work)

has anyone looked into panic bomber

yep, i was gonna suggest the same thing. Ive done that several times with ribbon cables on laptops, and it works fine. but like Force said, only trim off a tiny bit to where the broken end matches up with the rest again, if you do too much it wont stay in the connector. itll just slip out and need to be taped into place or something.

VB OG here. When i was a kid my parents refused to purchase video game consoles that connected to the TV as it “would distract from schoolwork”. When the VB came out i begged and begged because it did not connect to the TV and i got it for christmas! i was so very excited and i loved it. I used to take it everywhere. After a few years i discovered ebay and was able to pick up some additional games that were only available in Japan. I do not have all the games but i am still building my collection.

ha thats awesome! yea im still trying to finish my collection too 🙂 im trying to finish it up here in the next few months

Agreed. Also, anyone chime in that’s going to Classic Game Fest in a couple weeks in Austin. I’ll be there!

Yea i might be there, not sure yet

I’m in the Fort Worth area. Funny you asked because I was thinking it would maybe be cool to have meet-ups every once in a while if anyone is nearby. Especially since link cables are finally hitting the scene.

Yep thats exactly what i was thinking too! I’m down in Austin, and I know KJ4860 lives about 20mins north of me, and i think Cosmoterran might be from texas as well. It’d be cool to know all the texas people on here, and yea, maybe a meetup would be possible later in the year.

oh and btw, im from the dallas/ft worth area. thats where i grew up unfortunately. Also where I got my VB back in 96′ from the toys r us up in Lewisville off of I-35. which part are you from?

So i would love to purchase one of these eventually, but is this going to be like hyper fighting? where only like 50 are going to be made and if you dont get them immediately you will have to pay 1500 dollars for it afterwards? or do you plan on making them in batches every once in a while? not trying to sound whiny, im just kinda broke atm but would love to get one of these in the near future.
