thread ressurection.. so now that the link cable is pretty much a reality. It always seemed to me like mario tennis and panic bomber were meant to have a 2 player mode. So is adding that functionality at this point in time still next to impossible? Wouldnt Mr Anon have a pretty good idea of where to start? (seeing as how he got hyper fighting to work)

I’m a VB OG too. I specifically remember buying mine new at Walmart along with Galactic Pinball and Virtual League Baseball, though it was near the end. I wanna say it was $40 or maybe $60. And VLB was mis-marked so I got it for something like $5. I got my 2nd VB from my roommate who gave it to me because he lost some of my CDs and I got my third on eBay due to an offer I couldn’t refuse. All 3 boxed and in working order thanks to the handy work of @RunnerPack… all were repaired via the LED soldering mod. I added to my game collection as the years went on and felt like I found my people when I found this website! I can’t wait for the link cables that are almost a reality!
3?? haha wow! and what do you mean all had to be repaired? is there a common problem with them going out? last i checked mine still seemed to work great. now im worried O_O and doesnt the link cable ONLY work with hyper fighting? I dont imagine the function was programmed into any released games.
haha thats awesome! I rented the virtual boy right when it came out from blockbuster video. I remember them renting them out in like this big black case or something. I know it came with tennis and i THINK red alarm or teleroboxer, or all three.(just found pics on google ha!)
It was pretty cool and i already owned every other nintendo console and portable at the time but i couldnt justify spending that much for it just then. I ended up buying a brand new from the store about a year later sometime in 96′. I think the price had gone down by that point(or maybe that happend after i got mine). Then soon after the vb game prices dropped like a bag of bricks. And places like KB toys even had the jap imports for some reason, and they were all like 4$ and stuff haha. so i picked up most of the games for dirt cheap. and then got the ac adapter and mario clash from a friend for like 10$. that sure saved on batteries. happy to say ive still got it in mint condition in its box atm. I wanna put it out on display but ill have to wait till i move into my next place for that. not enough room at the moment. And yea I think im gonna go ahead and finish getting the rest of the USA game set. not looking forward to jack bros prices. and hyper fighting is out the window. but we’ll see heh. oh, and I hope the one you got off ebay came with the stand!
