also I wholeheartedly agree with “there can never be enough VBs in the world” 😀
Yeah I think some of the people who watched the episode that have never played a VB before, now think the system looks like that.

(please excuse my double-posting, I couldn’t edit my last post and I wanted to say stuff about the video)…why did the guy sell it because “it was either I lose the girl or the system”? thats stupid! >:(
secondly, the old man complains that the VB gave him a headache at the end, but thats because none of them understand that the VB is malfunctioning and on top of that they didn’t set the focus bar or IPD dial even ONCE!
oh well, at least the Virtual Boy appeared 😀
(I’m still frustrated over that hater of a girlfriend he has! why should one have a significant other who makes them sell their game stuff?!)
I agree with you. If that guys girlfriend was going to break up with him for not selling something, the odds are they are going to break anyway. Where is he after that?Without a girlfriend or a VB.

like that Pawn Stars episode I sadly did not watch this either (how come when I don’t watch much TV theres Virtual Boy mentions everywhere?) so I was wondering if anyone here happened to be watching this? (or if a clip can be found?)
So was there a Pawn Stars episode with the VB on it?
yes, and theres a topic here that contains a link to watch it: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4196&forum=1
Thanks for the quick response, and letting me know. I saw the guy was putting the stand on hard, and backwards 8-O, and I hated to see how it had a little bit of glitchy display going on it. I can’t believe Cory said that the shipping container of 500 VBs polluted the market :-?, there can never be enough VBs in the world :-D, and it was 100 unopened VBs. I was really suprised to see the guy only got $80 for it, but it was broken, and if he had put it on ebay I doubt it would have gone for much more.

Thats a pretty awesome music video. It’s really cool that your getting it to be aired on tv 8-).

I bet if the 3DS fails (Which hopefully won’t happen) they will then make references in unreleated articles, and critise the system for no reason at all like they do with the VB. Eventhough now they are talking about the 3DS like it’s the best thing on earth.
Déjà vu, eh? I’ll bet my pennies that a few reviewers dislike it because of supposed “headaches”.
Yeah I think some reviewers will. Cool this is my 100th post now im a Nintendoid :-).

http://www.blisteredthumbs.net/2011/01/wario-land-review/A review for Wario Land. It’s positive, but the reviewer is hung up on the fact that it’s on virtual boy. Also he wondered where the 3D effects are, why it doesn’t take advantage of the virtual boys capabilities. I guess he only has one eye, because there is depth, layering, and in the treasure rooms a nice 3D depth effect. Also, there’s the jumping into the background part.
And why does it being on VB and not being fully “virtual reality” somehow take away from the game being good? Megaman 9 is great on the PS3 even though it’s made like a 8-bit NES game. A good game is a good game!
The person who reviewed the game seems to me like he was just looking for a reason to complain about the game, just beacause it’s on Virtual Boy.
I remember that IGN article, I got excited while reading the article, until I found out it was a joke.
I hate how IGN is always making bad jokes like that about the VB. Like the one at the end of the article “The apocryphal Virtual Boy Game Boy Advance will launch for $199.99. It will quickly drop in price to $99.99, then $49.99, eventually hitting clearance aisles and outlet stores for $29.99 before disappearing into obscurity six months after its release”
The system did not disappear into obscurity six months after its release, some stores like Wal Mart had VB games and systems long after it got discontinued.
I bet if the 3DS fails (Which hopefully won’t happen) they will then make references in unreleated articles, and critise the system for no reason at all like they do with the VB. Eventhough now they are talking about the 3DS like it’s the best thing on earth.
Glad to finally see the commercial. Pretty strange but cool.
I did not care much for the interview. It should have been longer, and Miyamoto got kind of annoying by calling the VB a toy.

A price would depend on costs for cart shells. The PCB would be cheaper than a FlashBoy. I think it would be around 50 EUR for a game. But let’s not take over the thread. 😉
Thats a really good price :-D.I think I might get one when they come out. Im sorry, I was not trying to take over the thread of anything.

Yeah, a Bound High cart would be cool! I was thinking about making a run of carts with boxes and manuals, but it would not be possible without completely custom parts. Now it seems in reach! 🙂 Maybe I’ll finally get around to releasing BLOX 2 on cartridge?BTW, how about making dust caps for that connector?
I hope you do make Blox 2, and Bound High carts. Im a big fan of both games and would love to play them on the actual hardware. If you do make these carts how much would they cost?
I once had a dream where I got a bootleg Virtual Boy cart that had a few offically relesed games on it, and then later on in the dream I remember playing Animaniacs game I guess it would qualify as a prototype.
Just keep looking, good deals come up.
I think the SP is the best beacause of it’s design, and the fact that it can play all GB,GBC,and GBA games.

and to think i was gonna purchase a USED Virtual Boy with V-Tetris from some gaming shop in Paris for 200 bucks.[/quote]
Some game stores are like that they automaticly think that if they got something like a VB they have the rarest game system ever made so they have it for a complete random expensive price thats way more than it’s worth.

Is an unopened Virtual Boy,with everything plus Mario Tennis worth 13 bucks? cuz i bought a fully boxed VB for 13 bucks 😀
Yeah thats an incredable deal 8-), congrats on the find :-D.

I went to this old video game shop, they had boxes of Virtual Boys, but the seller insisted that the boxes are completely empty, i said ”Can i atleast SEE the box?”, He says ”No,theres nothing”. And for months, one time i went there again, I asked again ”Is that for sale?” he said the same thing ”its empty” BUT someone else working in the store said ”There is a system inside”, and i was like ”NO WAY, SO YOU DO HAVE A VIRTUAL BOY?”, he took the box down and i opened it to see a newer used Virtual Boy, so i said ”I will definitely buy this for 5 Bahraini dinars(13 bucks!!) and he said ok , so i went home with a brand new Virtual Boy, i was extremely happy, but when i tried it , the left eye didnt work but soon after 3 days, it automatically worked by itself, now its working perfectly. Now aint this a pretty sweet Virtual Boy deal?? Can everyone please share their stories on how you got your Virtual Boy?
Man what a deal :-D. Are there any other games you are planning on getting?
I got mine in early 2009 at a junk store for $3.00. It was just the system only but I was still really happy getting it. I ordered a controller with two games (Mario Tennis, and Galatic Pinball) I loved playing it and I played it for hours at a time. Until about two months later the day I got Virtual League Baseball in the mail from ebay the system got the glitchy display, and at the time I diddn’know you could fix it so I got rid of it but kept the games I had. Around late July I went into a comic book store and I had a good feeling I should ask if they had a VB, so I asked the guy he said “Yeah I think we might just have one” He moved around a few boxes and there was a VB and once I saw it I asked how much he wanted for it, and he said $20.00 after he said that I was so happy and gave him the money. The night I got home I sat down for about three hours playing games.
I personally would not pay anything for those items since I have them all, but I will tell you how much there worth. The VB depending on condition with out games is worth anywhere between $35.00 to $80.00, the AC adapter alone is worth anywhere between $20.00 to $40.00, Mario Clash U.S version the cartridge worth $10.00 to $30.00, Mario Tennis is worth $1.00 to $10.00.
