Can´t wait to hear if that works. So the idea here was to solder the cables not on the original pads, but to other contact points and then you put hot glue on it so that it does not move around any more, correct?
I have to agree that those cases from the first post look great. If I would not be a collector I would try to go for that solution as well and I guess that those cases also take less space than the original boxes.

I also wanted to recommend this security bit set. They are cheap, fit every security bit on the Virtual Boy and also fit inside all the holes. You even get a bonus security bit screwdriver for other NES/64/SNES/Game Boy units and games.
So it is worth getting that, don´t waste your time with those insert bits from eBay where the sellers claim it works for the Virtual Boy, but most of the times it doesn´t.
I like this and it is pretty harmless compared to what this guy “ebolaworld” is normally doing. I like his “Taco-Man” character a lot and also “Snowy the Frostman”. Sometimes pretty sick humor, so it is not for everyone. 🙂
Dude, for sure I know that, but still people are doing it anyway. Simply upload a video on your channel and post a link to it in the comments and there you go.
😉
Normally I don´t do response videos myself but I didn´t want to prevent other people doing it if they want.
I have been collecting for many years. I also registered on Planet Virtualboy many years ago, but I was not able to reset my password for my old username VectrexRoli, so that´s why I had to register now with VectrexRoli2.

Yeah he is funny, but the review itself is at least questionable. I think Teleroboxer is definitely not a better game than the phantastic Galactic Pinball. Also I think that the nerd has some problems with his eyes as he is wearing glasses. So maybe that´s one of the reason why his eyes hurt when using the Virtual Boy.
Would be interesting to know if the “horizontal line”-display problem only occurs on devices within a specific S/N range.
Fortunately I don´t have that problem…
