This happens a lot on Gameboy’s (original and Pockets). An odd trick that can fix it (at least temporarily) is turning the system on, remove 1 battery, and put the battery back in, all while the system is turned on. It sounds dumb but its worked for me.
It look legit to me. The shrink wrap has been on there long enough to effect the shape of the box, the tearing in the plastic is bound to happen because of that. The yellow hanging tab seals the deal (pun intended).
Clash At Demonhead (NES)
It took me a minute to get into it but I eventually fell in love with it. So much so that I bought it CIB after I had beaten it.
Its funny looking back at what I thought were some of the worst games i’ve ever played. Some thoughts I still stand by like “X-Men” and “Action 52” for the NES. Now for me “Mario Is Missing” (both systems) was more of it being underwhelming to standard bad but not the worst i’ve played. More exposure to more games makes you realize what is bad and what it truly the worst. Anyways…
“Moto Roader” on the TurboGrafx-16 is possibly the worst racing game i’ve played yet. Don’t you dare fall behind even from the start of the race. You will be jerked back into place with the other racers screwing you up even further. I’ve tried numerous times and it still frustrates me within 5 minutes every time.
If you got a Japanese copy CIB for $50, that’s about retail. If you got a US copy CIB for $50, you got a steal. If it is a US box, check it to make sure its legit (print quality of the box and the lettering). I doubt anyone is faking VB game boxes but I wouldn’t put anything past video game scammers these days.
I don’t know if i’ve posted mine on here before but here’s all 4 US models I own:
VN103554981
VN101409467
VN102174074 (no power is going to the head set at all)
VN104227327
Uncanny X-Men (NES)
Trying to successfully beat this game without looking up a “how to” video is enough to put anyone in a mental institution. Quite possible the worst game on the system and among the worst ever programmed.
Nice like, is it one of thise dev carts with the rom chips sticking out the top?
It is, i’ve never checked to see if my particular version was ever dumped. I remember years back when I got and saw other protos sold on ebay so I kind of figured mine was noting special. If I remember right it was a finalized copy.
