Rule 1 of collecting anything: If you’re buying it for resale reasons, you’re doing it wrong. I’m a collector/collectibles store owner, so believe me I see this sort of thing everyday. People coming in with their collections trying to get full price for their stuff for what they paid for it years ago. It doesn’t work that way at all. Buy it for the love of the product not the dollars it could make. Your gonna take a hit, accept it.

I just checked eBay’s sold listings and they range anywhere from $45 to $80 so you paid on the high end. How complete was it and shape?

I appreciate the small business support out there in internet land, but $70 untested and no stand/visor, that’s not good at all. If it’s untested it shouldn’t be out on the floor, or at least no price tag. Giving them a cart however is a nice gesture, i’ve never once gotten a donation like that in my store. I’d do it but make sure you test it before spending the money.
